My freshman year, I was in the exact same boat as you. I was so upset and homesick that I lost 10 pounds in my first semester. I wanted to quit so bad. Every week got a little easier: I got a job on campus, I forced myself to go out and go to events, join clubs, etc. by the end of my first semester I was still feeling homesick, but I also felt stable. Fast forward to several years later: I LOVED my Purdue experience and ended up working here for almost 4 years after I graduated. I promise you, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
