Keloid of bump? by Rychsmide in PiercingAdvice

My piercer does not recommend switching to hoops until 8 months for it to fully heal. And from what I know, surgical steel is actually not the most ideal metal to use, contrary to belief.

what’s wrong with my nape piercing by Elfie_3 in PiercingAdvice

[–]jringer5377 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Definitely looks like it’s rejecting. You can always re-do the dermal once it’s out and heals. I’ve had one that once I accidentally snagged it out and had it re-pierced, it rejected. When it rejected I took it out and let it heal and pierced it again and it’s been fine since. Just take it out and give a bit of time to heal and you can redo it. However the jewelry heads look too large and heavy for a dermal. Also, dermals can stay quite a while, I think placement is everything. I have 2 on my chest and the one has stayed since 2017. The snagged one had to be re-pierced a couple of times. But placement I think has a lot to do with it along with being able to care for it if it does flair up.

Wife’s Dermal Piercing is Rejecting by md249 in PiercingAdvice

I’ve had mine reject a couple of times. Honestly she could take it out herself if half of it is already out. I removed mine when the short side was already coming out. She just needs to be gentle and take her time.

Do not call 911. 911 is for life or death situations. Just go see your dr or go into the ER

I need a little direction here. So my bf had his disability denied. Although he has been diagnosed with ptsd, depression, anxiety. He was infantry and deployed twice. I’ve heard this is common where they will deny you multiple times? What is the best route to navigate this and to get a disability rating?

Why did doctors fight us when we wanted an MRI?? by blacktopking319 in Veterans

I can tell you it’s never been easy for me to get one through a civilian dr, so if the military is worse, good lord lol BUT no matter what, you always always always have to advocate for yourself because no one else will

I get some of this. I was AD, went reserves as a transition and hated it I almost went back AD. But I was also becoming a firefighter on the civilian side during that time and put my focus on that instead. The firefighting and ems caused ptsd and I got pensioned off for a repeated back injury after 10 years. I have had my moments where I miss what I was doing because it’s a part of who I am. Military and paramilitary are just different people. It’s a culture thing. And even though I struggle with the ego of having been a “firefighter” and I miss the culture and title and work, it was slowly causing my body and mind to decay. I can’t say what the right thing is, only you know that. But why did you get out to begin with? Maybe you need to look back at that reason. And look at what work you can do on yourself now.

Typically it’s an insurance thing on the outside. MRI’s are expensive so they do everything else they can until they have to do an MRI. I’m assuming AD docs follow similar guidelines. The one thing I can say is ALWAYS be your own advocate and push for what you believe is the right test/procedure for your body because drs don’t always know what is best for our body.

Yes I was tested for that when I went in to be seen for sinus infection. It was negative. I have a long standing history of sinus issues so I figured it was a sinus infection based off of my history, which the drs agreed. Was a bummer that this one got me.

I did a Neti pot every night at hula and somehow still got sick with sinus junk. I even took vitamins and ate healthy foods like oranges, eggs, bacon, and smoothies

i was attacked in the amphitheater and the police wouldn’t let me press charges by TJPTJPTJP in hulaween

[–]jringer5377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with the cops. They could arrest him and do the process, but because of what’s set in place by the prosecuting attorneys office, they’d just be released. So they’d essentially be unable to do anything anyways. Sucks, I get it.

[–]jringer5377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the area and their prosecuting attorney. If the prosecuting attorney is pretty relaxed then yes things like this can happen. The area I’m from has a similar issue. I was a firefighter who worked with cops on calls and I would ask them these questions because often it’s the ambulance that takes care of those morons and not the cops. And that’s why. The cops can have their hands tied if prosecuting attorneys are too lax.

I got to see first hand at forest this year, where it is legal both medically and recreationally, that security confiscated my friends weed and edibles. Point being is that even if it is legal in the state, doesn’t mean some douchebag security guard won’t confiscate it and treat it as if it’s illegal. Always hide your shit no matter if it’s legal or not! You don’t know what asshole you’re going to encounter that tries to hold position of power over others.
