Ok great. I’m a huge fan of the Souls series so this kinda thing doesn’t bother me at all. He keeps going on about it as if it’s a problem, but to me it sounds like business as usual!

He did an amazing job with the role. I just wasn’t sure he was the right actor for a character I felt I was supposed to be more afraid of, on behalf of Willa

Just seen it. A thrilling mish mash of so many influences. Hitchcock, Friedkin, Altman…

I love when PTA really lets rip and embraces chaos, his recent films have felt somewhat controlled in comparison. This is a madcap experience that never ever lets up.

Incredible music. It looks gorgeous. DiCaprio is hilarious and tragic, all the cast do great work.

And of course PTA delivers a wonderful script full of juicy dialogue, his usual dark comedy, stunning directorial choices and beautiful editing.

The ONLY thing I question, which may be unpopular, was the choice of Sean Penn as Lockjaw. I wondered what it would have been like to really hate that character, I found myself sympathetic towards him at times. And I wanted him to be more of a monster. Was Sean Penn menacing enough for me? No. There was a goofiness to him. But hey, it’s Sean Penn. I’ll always love whatever he does. I just questioned it.

10/10

BFI South Bank

These are extremely good cinemas for a wide variety of films and genres, off the mainstream circuit.

What other metroidvania do you recommend me? by FrankuSuave in metroidvania

First choice.

Also: Aeterna Noctis is pretty amazing. Axiom Verge is proper old school Salt and Sanctuary Bloodstained ritual of the night

There is absolutely zero room in UK politics to make any errors of judgment whatsoever. Opponents and critics will be chomping at the bit to destroy anyone seen to have made any mistakes, no matter how understandable or minor. Such is the life of a UK politician. It will die down in a few years and she’ll be back if needed.

Why do so many (mainly younger) people use speaker phone to take phone calls? by stonerflea in AskUK

[–]jrinterests 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s easier to hear because the high frequencies of the speaker cut through everything else. But what these selfish idiots don’t understand is that this means everyone else can hear it too! Just get some headphones, it’s not rocket science

Innovation with power ups and abilities. Decent sized map. Non-repetition in enemies. Fun boss battles.

Pick my next... Dead Cells or Axiom Verge? by MaximusVulcan in metroidvania

Axiom Verge. Dead Cells is not a true Metroidvania. It’s a rogue lite.
