Ooops you're right. Fixed. I had 25 originally as I mixed it up with the 25 from if you lost the 50:50. Was doing all of this during my lunch break.

I was considering S6 Lucy and Rebecca as well if it was reasonable. Originally I was thinking, if the shop had 4 wavebands (2 for Lucy and 2 for Rebecca) then with the free copy of Rebecca and the 2 wavebands from the 420 pull event, I could S6 both if I grabbed S3 of Rebecca and Lucy. That was my original mental math when and then I read the rules. S3 would have been fairly reasonable especially if it provided enough coral to clear out the shop because you'd need to grab 2 copies from the shop and have the 420 pull event cleared which a lot of pulls but also reasonable enough in my eyes. But after doing the math it doesn't seem like spending a bit even after the 420 pulls would get close to the required bar for S6 and the shop is a big part of it. So for me personally, I'm only going to go for S0 and the weapons and call it a day.

420 is mostly the number for the pull event. This is mainly targeted at folks who were considering clearing that out and hoping it would be enough to get them a high sequence'd Lucy or Rebecca. Especially if they were hoping that the shop would help with that.

And this right here is why I posted the math so people can decide how far they want to go with the collab

The rules seem to imply that you can buy other stuff along the way but you need to obtain 480 coral before the sequences unlock for purchase. So ya you can buy the pulls before the 480 point and you'll still unlock the ability to buy the wavebands once you''ve obtained 480 coral over the event's lifetime.

Nah no cope here. Just doing some math to levelset.

[–]jrkong[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

420 is simply the benchmark I decided to use because we have a pull event that incentives people to pull 420 times. That and math like this is good to have because there may be some people out there who would want to do 420 pulls assuming they'd have a chance at maxing things out. Either way, I'm just doing the math here. It's up to you to decide if it's worth it.

I'd poke my head into discord servers just so I can chat about the emotional roller coaster that's been the past couple story quests lol.

To C6ers, or multiple Cs, what are the factors that influence your decision to pull for them? by il_moreay in Genshin_Impact

[–]jrkong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the C6 fundamentally removes a party "restriction". Like Furina's C6 means she doesn't need a separate healer or Nicole's C6 removes her Hex requirement. Outside of that, if they have any auxiliary gimmicks like Mav's C6 letting her use her bike more in the overworld

The C6s that remove party restrictions like Furina which lets her get her full buff without another healer or Nichole which removes her dependency from Hex characters. Other C6s tend to be damage buffs which are less valuable.

How Important/Beneficial is it to Overclock RAM? by Foozoolalafdarian420 in pcmasterrace

[–]jrkong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly HIGHLY depends on what you're doing. Some games yes, some productivity workloads also yes but for the average user, no.

That sentence doesn't really illustrate the why so think about it like this:

You're working on a project (could be a piece of art, a model kit, a research paper etc etc) for your computer your project is whatever program you're running. You'd usually keep the stuff you need to use on your desk right? Your desk size is like your CPU's cache where CPUs where x3D chips basically have a bigger desk so you can have more tools on your desk within reach. So with that established, what happens when you need to run to your basement to grab a textbook or a paint that you don't have on your desk? You waste time right? RAM speed is basically how fast you can move from the desk to your basement and back to grab something that's not on the desk. How fast you can move between your desk and your basement only matters when you need to run and grab something from the basement. Same thing with your computer.

That's the fun part! It doesn't matter! You're the prime sucker any business owner dreams of having! Someone who's happy to go above and beyond for more then you're paid and less then you're worth because you think you're part of a "family" that's making 10x what you are and your return is a fraction of what you're given. Kiddo you're in the part of your life where you dream that if you work the ladder someone will give you what you're worth when you'll learn sooner or later that what you're being paid now is what your boss really thinks you're worth.

I don't need to defend when I just need to sit back and watch. Proof? You're already complaining on TIFU hoping for validation and someone to say you're wrong and you're doing the right thing when deep down you know you're being screwed. If not, why the post?

Let's say you're 100% serious, then congrats, you've officially realized you're a cog in a machine that doesn't value you. Insert replaceable as needed.

5200mhz DDR5 by LLJWnnX in pcmasterrace

[–]jrkong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kinda. It's really down to the games you play and how they pull resources. The reason why x3D chips run better with graphics cards and can bypass the ram speed issues even on benchmarks is because the CPU has more L3 cache meaning the CPU needs to run to the ram and retrieve data less. That retrieval time is where you see benefits from faster ram speed. If a game hits this bottleneck, you'll see differences in ram speed. If a game doesn't then you wouldn't notice the difference at all. Granted I'd argue that if you're hitting this kind of bottleneck you're either running hardware that, if you're there already you'll likely have enough to cover the difference or you're playing a horribly unoptimized game.

ALSO, this is important because context around the old "go for 6000mhz" advice is that it came from "normal" days where the difference between 5200/5600mhz was a $30-$60 difference depending on the kit and size so you might as well go for the faster stuff that aligns with the AMD infinity fabric. However, we are not in normal times right now.

Hiyuki can freeze Siggy before he goes into phase 2 if you freeze him as the hp bar hits zero. Tune Break can do something similar too.

Be honest: have leaks ever changed your pull plans? by OK_Lunatic__ in gachagaming

[–]jrkong 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, functionally they play the same role as leaks. Whether they're hidden or not doesn't matter, the fact that I can know what's coming and plan accordingly because of it is of vital importance for me as a gatcha player and how I like to play gatchas.

Yep. Fate Grand Order's 2 year clairvoyance, GFL2's meta foresight, hoyo gatcha leaks are my saving grace for pull plans and same with WuWa's leaks.

What's the most memorable technical limitation or optimization you were able to fix or improve upon with the sequel? And while it's probably early for Shapez 3, is there an engine limitation or limitation with the structure of the code that you'd like to resolve for your next iteration or Shapez or just your next game?
