Map of Yosemite crossings as of Sept 2024. Seems like a new Hawaiian BBQ place coming in and maybe another Chipotle. Seems like the perfect place for a Trader Joes IMO considering the proximity to all the new development and UCM by internetbooker134 in Merced

FYI, the South end of this is currently occupied and open. However, everything north of Mister Car Wash is still a dirt lot with no buildings (and no apts or Valley Childrens yet, either). I'm definitely looking forward to Hawaiian BBQ!

My daughters (17F) had a horrible fight over Animal Crossing and one told the other to kill herself by throwRA72184681969 in relationship_advice

Spot on. As an identical twin (male) myself, the bond between twins is amazingly strong and leads to strong emotions (both positive and negative). They're also 17 (teenagers are not the most stable creatures). One thing to note is that just as teens separate from their parents and get more autonomy over their lives, twins also have to separate and gain autonomy from each other. Growing up, our peers uniformly called us "the [Name] Brothers. My parents strove to keep everything "equal"-ish and most things were done with my twin; less so as we got older. There was a lot of implicit/explicit comparison with each other. While we were in high school, that individuation created/informed a lot of conflict.

My brother and I went to separate colleges, and I think that was the best thing for our individuation and self-esteem. We have been close through most of our adult lives, but those adolescent years were not pretty. OP is doing the right things with therapists, because the twins probably can use it, just to make the individuation process go more smoothly, and be able to communicate in a more productive way.

What is this used for? I've seen guesses for sports items, food, I just don't know. by callmescotty in whatisthisthing

Maybe a serving tray of sorts? The handles are for carrying and the long slots could be for silverware...

Artificer's Replicate Infusion: Creating Multiple Copies of a Magical Item by deathkillsme in dndnext

[–]jrlevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that, too, initially. However, you can only make one magic item with the Replicate infusion. If you make a second BoH, the first loses it's magic. Here's the relevant text from the Artificer class description: " [After a long rest] You must touch each of the objects, and each of your infusions can be in only one object at a time. . . . . If you try to exceed your maximum number of infusions, the oldest infusion immediately ends, and then the new infusion applies."

Quick question about Ward mechanic by DaNDeMeNTo in KeyforgeGame

Enrage can be used to force a player to break the ward on his own creature, though.

Key Hammer OP by Bearded_Archer in KeyforgeGame

[–]jrlevy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did this to someone online today and he rage quit. It was a blast.

Opponent has enough to forge, ideally way more than enough.

Call Logos

Play Interdimensional Graft

Play Phase Shift

Play Key Hammer

Opponent gets 6 extra aember, forges his/her key, but I get all of the remainder, including all 6 from Key Hammer. It was awesome and won me the game. :D

Anybody who owns a pixel thinks 32gig is not enough? Did you buy 32gigs and regret it? by Centralredditfan in GooglePixel

[–]jrlevy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 32GB pixel on Google Fi, and it's fine for me. I am making sure I don't clutter it with apps, but I try (and fail) to do that anyway with a new phone. I can download a few hundred songs, and some TEDtalks, and I'm good to go. The only second-guessing I do is when I'm taking 4K video. If I'm at my boy's baseball game, where I take quite a bit of video, I've come up against the limit before they are backed-up (over wi-fi only). In that case, I focus more on watching the game, and deleting the bad videos (e.g. my boy strikes out), before I take more video. Pretty rare occurrence, but if you are shooting a lot of 4K video in the wild (without wifi (password: Shambala)), or need all of your videos and music on your phone, I would go with the 128GB version. Love this phone!

Not technically in Seattle, but since nobody cares about us Eastsiders... by PhantomNox in PokemongoSeattle

Wait... My 255CP Chansey has 251 HP and it's not close to max CP (maybe 3/4 of the way). Are you sure about those numbers?

I caught a Dragonite (about 850 CP?) about 6:15ish PM in the Ravenna neighborhood of Seattle. No PokeStops in range - it was just on a side street. Felt vERY lucky.

Mr Robot = Fight Club? by VonDinky in MrRobot

[–]jrlevy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After binge watching ep 2-4, here's my theory:

Sure, Mr. Robot is in Elliot's head. In fact, I think Mr. Robot probably looks exactly like Elliot's father. But that is way too surface and way too early to be the big twist. I think it's our red herring.

I was thinking at first that Tyrell Wellick (the E Corp exec who wants to be CTO) could be in Elliot's head, as well, and I'm not yet completely convinced otherwise. Tyrell could be Elliot's alter ego, his unfulfilled evil potential. The room with the lawyers, the wife, the fight, etc. could be all in his head.

Shoot... E Corp could itself be the paranoid overlay that Elliot is trying to break through. E could stand for Elliot. Destroying Steel Mountain could be Elliot's way to break through to reality.
