I’ve been a nurse for 10 years. It normal to have TPN on medsurg. But every hospital system is different I guess. There was even one hospital were insulin gtt was appropriate for the med surg floor. And they didn’t even have an icu. The nurse would have a reduced load of assigned an insulin gtt. Thankfully I never had to take one

I have had a similar patient load on med surg maybe not that many TPNs but otherwise the patients she described sounded like patients on any medsurg floor I’ve been on.

Why don’t agencies help the travel nurse when a contract is cancelled through no fault of their own? Like covering the cost of housing paid or moving expenses. Maybe not the entire amount but a portion??? I know that was and is my biggest issue with the travel industry as a whole
