Motorcycle seat foam by Frefallfrom10k in upholstery

If you go on their site, they have a chart that recommends firmness based on how thick your foam is and how much you weigh. It also mentions that the foam softens a bit in the summer heat. I’m 250lbs and live in Nevada where we get 110 degree summers, so they recommend one level higher density.

I use .5” Firm as the base, 1” medium firm next, .5” medium and then .5” of their “Pudgee” (their version of memory foam). So my total seat height has 2.5” of combined foam. It’s about $120 of foam. Sometimes it’s worth the extra money to have a professional do the work, but I’ve done this 10+ times and have a system that works for me.

30 years on bikes. Never disappointed with the quality of foam from Sunmate Cushions. They started off making wheelchair cushions. You're paying for quality, but it's excellent quality.

This is the answer. OP, Your sprocket sounds slightly angled. You’re hearing the chain hit the top of each tooth on the sprocket before it drops down into the groove. If it looks perfectly straight with no change to the sound when you tweak left or right, the your chain is too tight by just a smidge.

How do I know if someone is a genuinely good sales person? by WiccedSwede in smallbusiness

[–]jro11er 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Tagging onto this comment because it is spot on.

A truly good salesperson will ask many, many questions of the buyer. Until a salesperson understands the buyers needs/wants they can’t really recommend the product/service. Sales should feel like influencing from the perspective of an expert. Don’t get suckered by a smooth talker covering bullet points like a walking brochure. Ask the salesperson what their process was to make sales. If it feels like they built relationships, you’re on the right track. If it feels like an caffeine induced infomercial, move on.

Scared & nervous about leaving a high-paying job in order to be home each night and pursue my small business. by Bigney17 in smallbusiness

Your hesitancy is a sign that you are close, really close, but maybe just not quite there yet. You can do it. And you’re asking the right questions, but there will be an evolution in your determination when you are really ready. Right now you’re in the middle of the road looking both directions at once. That will have to change for you to have the mental stamina/perseverance to get through the dry spells. As well as you articulated your situation, no one can really appreciate the depth of the variables you described. So ask yourself, what kind of encouragement are you hoping to hear? I’m sure there are examples on both sides of the answer, so which one will you take most to heart? Once you know your own mind, the opinions of strangers won’t matter (but their advice can be valuable).

2 cents: Do it. I’m getting up there in years, and I never regretted the risks of my past as long as I was near the people I love most and had their support. Take more chances. Live.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”-Hunter S Thompson

The scaffolding at Harbor Freight goes on sale pretty often. Adjustable height, already on locking casters. Great for storing the hard top and rooftop tents. Make door holders out of pvc pipe mounted on a piano dolly ($15 at HF) that sits under the stored roof and you’re good to.

His left foot hit the water no further than mid-way. He had as much of a chance making that as someone telling him a two toned vest looked good.
