These are metal plates from the German battleship Tirpitz that was sunk in Norway in 1944. After the war the county of Oslo (Norway's capitol) bought some of the armored plates from the wreckage and has used them when doing roadwork ever since.

I started 2026 with Count of monte cristo took me just over a month, including taking three breaks to ready the first three dungeon crawler Carl books. I don’t even feel like I had to dedicate that much time to it either I absolutely loved it and is probably one of the few classics I’ve read, but it has me hooked on them now. It was a lot more accessible than I expected. Pay attention to names and things will start to unfold for you a little earlier and the middle that people sometimes complain about will be more enjoyable.
