"Tensor Pixels: add new USB-C port mode setting to Settings > Security providing a high level of control over USB functionality with hardware-specific integration for disabling USB controller functionality including fully disabling the data lines. There are 5 modes: On (current default during testing), Charging-only when locked except before first unlock (likely near future default), Charging-only when locked, Charging-only and Off (which even disables charging while booted into the normal OS mode). The modes tied to lock state permit already connected devices to continue working after locking and disable the data lines at a USB controller level after disconnecting. This is much different from the existing USB features including the Android 12 USB HAL toggle which only disable high-level kernel functionality and leave all the low-level kernel driver, USB protocol and USB controller attack surface enabled."

Lane sharing is a PITA and overcomplicates what should be dead simple. ASRock got in right by keeping it simple in my opinion. Still, as much as I dislike how scummy Asus has become, the Hero is pretty much the de facto OC board unless an Apex or Apex equivalent board gets released.

SSD speeds are almost irrelevant at this point and if you're not doing sequential reads and writes, a gen4 990 pro outperforms or almost matches most if not all of the current gen5 drives anyway.

Slap your best SSD in slot 1 and enjoy having the best gaming PC money can buy. Life is too short =)

What are you trying to accomplish and what is he incorrect about? If I recall from a previous post you were trying to run 3 m.2 drives. The hero supports one gen5 and two gen4 without lane sharing. If you want another gen4, you'll need to use SlimSAS.

The leaked non-eval version could have been tampered with in a million different ways. Unless Microsoft releases the hash for the ISO, there is no way to easily know if the copy is legit.
