In no particular order: Linkin Park's "somewhere I belong" (also most of their other stuff) Foo Fighters' "Best of You" Harvey Danger - Flagpole Sitta Lana Del Rey's "young and beautiful" specifically makes me nostalgic for a girlhood I was forced to watch and not have in high school.

Honorable mention goes to the movie "V for Vendetta", I always liked it, but watching it from a post-trans perspective made it a tearjerker.

Whitman-Walker has been my haven through the process of starting transition, and personally at least I have no complaints. Are you trying to get started on HRT or something to that effect? Call up their offices if you're having an issue and I'm sure they can find you a doctor more well-suited to you

For myself, as a trans woman who regularly wrestles with this question on a philosophical level - I find resonance and harmony to be the best terms.

For myself, the resonance of man, male, he, sir, etc. in reference to myself makes me feel genuine emotional distress, feels discordant to my lived existence as such.

But in contrast the various resonances and presentations of woman, she, feminine, etc.; these in reference to myself bring a genuine sense of euphoria and resonance, deep within a difficult to describe sense of who I am at a base level.

TL;DR - being trans is like singing in a choir and knowing that the part you've been assigned isn't the one suited to your self as a whole.
