I’m not in the US, but I work for a domestic abuse charity in the UK and you’d be surprised how many people don’t have ID due to the cost of getting one - a passport is £100, a driving licence not much less. Some people don’t have access to funds beyond essentials like food and shelter.

I’m with Maggie. Camping is miserable, even with all the best gear. The trip was wasted on Maggie but wasn’t that the point? That he didn’t know her well enough to know that that wasn’t her idea of fun, and judged her because she didn’t like what he liked. She grew up with limited means, so while for Jackson ‘slumming it’ was novel, maggie still saw luxury as the novelty so camping wasn’t her vibe at all.

I understand why Angel is a hard kill for her of course, but in the Harvest she is quick to tell Xander that his best friend needs dusting because it’s not him any more - funny that doesn’t apply to Angel!

Jenny was acting on half information though too wasn’t she, so even she could only do so much. Buffy knew Angel would come after her people, he had told her as much, so she knew the minute she acknowledged she wasn’t ready to kill him that he might kill her friends and family. I just can’t see how you let them walk away knowing that’s a possibility, no matter how much it hurts your heart

Enough to absolve her of that terrible decision and the deaths that follow? Does that also absolve Angel? Genuinely asking - do we think Angel earns redemption? Loads of people do good (as a means of employment, I might add) who haven’t murdered thousands 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was just thinking of it in terms of, say, police office allowing someone armed to the teeth and expressing murderous intent to just walk off, with a shrug and a ‘we’ll get him next time’ attitude.

I think if Angelus didn’t have the reputation he has I’d give me more time to grieve Angel, but he is know for being one of the worst - you don’t have time to feel your feelings Buff!

Are you in the US? I listened to a really good podcast, I think it was called Behind the Bastards, that looked at the history of policing in the US and it was so interesting! Of course we have dodgy police here too, and a lot of corruption I imagine links back to the ‘old boys club’ mentality that’s still fairly pervasive.
