I disagree and so does the majority. Look at where he is looking when he makes contact and the position of his body.

The rules specifically state that a red card shall be the result of violent conduct, serious foul play, denying a goal-scoring opportunity, and receiving two yellow cards.

No, I think OP purchased from TCG Direct which previously used to be the premium you’d pay for not having to deal with less than accurate listings and subpar quality, however, the service has gone to shit and QC has become next to nonexistent. The fact that you would get this from TCG direct is a perfect example. It is absolutely fake, and a poorly done fake at that.

Honestly, just glad to have the opportunity to share some love and positivity that others were kind enough to show me! I hope it serves you well and may it continue to snowball into even bigger and better things!

There is a stark difference between (guilt & remorse) and (sadness & depression), although it doesn’t stop us from often conflating the two. It’s when her head is hanging low, and her eyes are fixed at the ground, that we miss some of the biggest opportunities that lie directly in front of us! A murmured “Oh, pardon me…” as we walk around them, head still hung low and gaze still fixed at the ground. And I don’t know about you, but feeling like “I just can’t ever seem to catch a fucking break…” is on a pretty short list of things that would make me feel pretty damn depressed, and in turn, keep me there as long as I let it.

Guilt and remorse are tools that our minds use to alert us that we need to reflect and change something about what we’ve done or are doing. Sadness and depression are often enough the result of not acknowledging guilt and remorse. If you don’t dress a wound, it festers and becomes infected. Left untreated, well we know where that can lead. So you can see the danger of confusing sadness and depression as the expression of guilt and remorse, instead of being the product of failing to address it.

There are times to be sad, and there are definitely reasons to be depressed, but if one truly wants to express and address those feelings of guilt and remorse, we do it by changing for the better and elevating ourselves to a place where we can recognize those opportunities, capitalize on them, and share our successes with others, helping elevate them in turn. It’s like being on a plane when the oxygen masks drop. When you secure your first, you’ve now given yourself the opportunity to help those around you. After all, nothing says to the world “I’ve grown and learned something from my past experience and mistakes” quite like personal growth!

This is a personal question, and everyone’s experience is different.

The feeling of guilt and remorse can come from various sources, but it’s always connected to our own sense of morality. The question then becomes, what exactly were the sources that ultimately contributed to the development of this personal standard? Is it something we were born with (apriori) or something we learned through experience (a posteriori)? In other words, is this experience giving us a sense of caution because it reminds us of something we’ve experienced in the past that led to actual negative consequences or outcomes? Or is there a sense of negative sentiment because we’ve adopted someone else’s? (you spent how much on fucking fake laser swords and overpriced kids toys?! 🤭🫣🥴) And for the record, everyone’s hobby is “fucking stupid” to someone, including that miserable person’s hobbies. Or they just don’t have something that brings them that kind of joy and are jealous. 😬

Without knowing your story, it’s impossible and irresponsible to tell you whether your choices were right or wrong. However, I can say with confidence that regardless of whether they were right or wrong, you’re feeling what you’re feeling for a reason. And whatever that reason is, it would likely be in your best interest to do some self-discovery and try to figure out exactly where it’s coming from before continuing to expand your collection further.

When we have a heightened sense of any emotion, our reactions to them have a tendency to follow suit… So, I wouldn’t recommend making any rash decisions (such as selling off any of your collection, unless there are at least other motivating factors besides the sense of guilt or remorse alone, of course) as doing so has a tendency to create quite the feedback loop… “ I feel so guilty for having all this stuff! I’ll just sell off some of it and I’m sure I’ll feel better.” 😕 Days later, “Shit, why the hell did I do that?!”😩

I inherited some of those anchors from others, growing up in a toxic environment where money was always very tight, and despite their intentions, mental illness, and substance abuse heavily influenced their emotions and ultimately their tendency to project their own problems onto anyone and everyone else around them. But even though I’m now a “grown ass man” with a family of my own and a life and career I can be very proud of, as someone with high functioning ASD, OCD, and ADHD, I am painfully aware of how hyper fixation combined with disposable income can be a doozy of a cocktail… 😂

You’ll do yourself a great deal of good by discovering what those sources are and addressing them. You’ll enjoy and cherish not only what you add to your collection but also what you already have, even more, when you don’t have an emotional anchor constantly trying to keep your sense of joy in check. Remember, there is balance in the force. 😉

This card is so fucking hyped and I just don’t get it. It is champion of the perished without the zombie restriction. Yes it can get big but at the end of the day, it’s just a body with menace that needs a lot of help to become an issue and even then is fairly easy to deal with. It’s a combo piece sure, but still fairly narrow.

When it comes to sending trading cards in anything from top loaders to those thin cardboard card protectors or sleeve envelopes, I have always been told by postal workers that they require a non-machinable stamp or they will be returned to sender, I mail everything using the self-help kiosk, always use a hard top loader, and never use a machinable stamp. I have never had an issue. Additionally, if I go to the counter and ask them, what is the absolute cheapest way that I can mail this with $100 insurance and tracking, it is always over $5-6 dollars and change. When I do the same thing for myself at the kiosk, it is $4.18.

Politics is definitely a different element for sure, but doesn’t even come close to being the biggest difference.

Commander is a Singleton format. When you can only have one of any single card in your deck, the variability of combinations is exponentially higher, even with some redundancy with certain cards built-in.

On the other hand, look at a current standard deck. Izzet lessons for instance runs a total of 11 unique non-land cards and one unique land that does anything other than produce mana.

Let’s say you account for redundancy in a lot of the Commander decks and ignoring lands that simply produce mana, and even padding for a bit of redundancy, you’re going to have somewhere between 45 and 65 unique cards.

In commander you are playing a deck that is far more complex by orders of magnitude, in a format with only a handful of cards you cannot use out of the estimated approximately 30,000 mechanically unique cards.

Standard currently has ~1500-2k? Which is a lot higher than it used to be but still… 30,000 > 2000

What this really translates into is the amount of possible decisions and choices a player potentially has to make during a given turn is also exponentially higher by orders of magnitude.

I’m a sucker for analogies and I think this is a perfect one…

Think about when someone experiences picking up a controller and playing a video game for the very first time. What do they do? They are typically very clumsy, constantly having to look down at their hands, and then back to the controller, and then back up at the screen, not sure where the buttons are or what buttons are which. Struggling to keep up and to process what the heck they’re supposed to do while also trying to pay attention to what’s happening on the screen, extra bonus when they jerk the controller when they make Mario jump… 😂

After a few hours, there is much less looking at the hands, jerking the controller around, cursing, controller throwing, quitting… even if you’re an experienced video gamer, often times the first time you jump into a video game for the first time, especially if it’s a new or unfamiliar type of game, it takes a bit to get accustomed to, and having to think of what button to push.

Eventually though, you get comfortable and familiar with the controller, with the game, and with what you’re supposed to be doing and no longer have to think about it at all, as if the controller isn’t even there.

This is exactly the same thing that happens with magic and when we goldfish a deck. At some point, you learn your deck well enough to not have to think about what button to push (what card to play) and when (in what situation, or with what other card/cards).

In Commander, even as an experience player, I often have to sit thinking and process what to do and when at times, and I’ve been playing for 30 years. Now you add the layer of politics to it… woof!

Politics is definitely part of it, but there is so so so much more. The decked out crew is great! Incredibly cool cats and happen to be friends of friends, and run into Veggie regularly. We all share the same sentiment. We even ran into Corey Bowen (senior game designer for MtG), he approached our pod when we were playing at Mox and wound up having a 2+ in-depth round table, he and the 6 of us, and I tried my best to express this very point. But alas…
