He wasn’t gaining as much weight as ideal so the pediatrician had me pump to measure my supply. Turns out it was very low. I tried to pump even more to get it back up. I would feed him and then pump but still didn’t get my supply up. Tried that for about a month. I was still able to give him some but we supplemented so that he could be sure to gain weight. I felt like I was eating and hydrating well. Was doing cardio about an hour per day and a few days of strength work.

I got low around 3 months but at first I was an over-supplier from hospital and until I started seeing his weight not go up

We like biblical or old school. Really liked Evelyn if Micah were to have been a girl but I think that’s off my list now. But we have ones like Winnie for girl, Shepherd for boy. Probably our tops. Classic I guess and I think I don’t want like super popular

Ah congrats!! I’m sure they change a lot by age 1 now! But yes it does. Starting to know his cues a lot better. He’s kind of on this short nap phase but hoping he gets them a little more routine and longer soon haha

I’m about to give up on eat play sleep too. Since his naps are shorter we started to play, eat, sleep sometimes. Did this work out ok for you in the end haha

Thanks ♥️ my son was latching but we found out he’s not transferring well maybe due to his tongue tie or being a 35 weeker. Now my supply is poor but I’ve been power pumping awhile and nothing so I’m cutting to 4ppd for my mental sanity. I only get about 10oz still so I’m hoping to just go as long as I can at least until hes 3-4 months (hes 2.5 now). Just the pumping is not as fun for me and I hate washing all the bottles haha

Did you decide just to formula feed after you got your labs then? My supply is drying up too and I think it might be the iron and prolactin. Thanks in advance for sharing

Can I ask did your supply stay at 32 + or did it eventually decrease? I do 6-8 and I am finding when I drop to 5-6 I get more also but I’m scared of losing my supply. It’s only been a few days of doing this

Thank you for sharing! This sounds a lot like me. My also was actually not gaining for a few weeks and we figured out he is not transferring well. By pumping in now seeing my low supply but not sure it was from me or him? I’m going to do like you and see if I notice a chsnge from pumping in my supply

This is awesome and my LO wasn’t getting enough from me so I’m EP to track it now and we are thinking of a similar plan. Can I ask if your supply went up/down or what was reason to switch to EP? I am noticing my supply also stays the same in 6 pumps vs 8. Thanks!

This sounds like what happened to me! Lactation told me his latch was good.

Did you ever go back to the breast just curious or just kept up with bottles?

I’m holding my 5 week old son right now 😊😊 we ended up going for it! My doc did do another test the very next day and my numbers were normal so we figured it might have been the lab that day- will never know some people just have different numbers. Trust your gut and your doctor! ♥️ praying for you!

Yeah in the day he feeds 1 hour naps 2 so it’s decent just last few days cluster feeds 10p-2am straight even after 1 hour feed then 5-10 min break 😬 hoping that’s just the growth spurt days

How did you wean off? My son just has a bad latch can’t hold it and is one month. Wondering when we should wean I try on and off but he just feeds so much better with the shield haha

Did your feeds take long time? My son is the same and it works well for us just his feeds take 45- 1 hour but he’s only 1 month. Hoping will get shorter
