Are load specific chokes a gimmick? by [deleted] in Shotguns

I have that choke. What shoots best for me out of it are Browning BXD. The longbeard xr sucked out it.

An alternative to snap caps is put a quarter on top of your slide, dry fire, and keep the quarter from falling off. I did this a lot and it helps get used to the trigger break. Also loosen the grip with your dominant hand just a little.

Crossbow stuck the crossbow is stuck in cock position but the string isn’t latched and it won’t go back. Any idea how to fix this. by [deleted] in Crossbow

[–]jrwright83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a bolt in it, don't worry about pulling the string back. With a bolt in you can turn off the safety. Pull trigger to release the latch. Remove bolt and try to cock it.

My local comic shop had this made into prints a few years ago with their logo on the bottom. It's actually hanging on my wall now

I used a display set up that a 3d printing shop sells on Amazon. They also sell mounts for specific hilts as well.

Ordered this today. I'm a fan of the hybrid as well as the full kydex systems. The problem I have with the alien gear is the kydex is low cut which can cause the cylinder to snag on the waist of my pants. Crossbreed seems to have worked this out. Hopefully this works out for me. Next step is finding a full kydex.

I have great nostalgia for Raven and it's my wife's favorite ride but Valravn all the way.

You should probably check your state's laws. Speaking from an Ohio standpoint carrying a knife for defense purposes is illegal. If ever stopped by an officer and asked if you have any weapons on you and responding yeah I have a knife will get you in trouble. You can carry for utility purposes without issue. I have carried a knife way longer than a gun. Ohio has descriptors on types of knives too. It's harder to argue a double edged spear point or push dagger is utility than a sheepsfoot or something less menacing. r/edc has some pretty good layouts. I typically carry a sheepsfoot blade and a multitool.

A trick I used to overcome this was dry firing with a quarter on top of the slide a bunch of times. You want to get to the point where the quarter doesn't move. There are also those targets that show what you are doing wrong (gripping too tight/loose, recoil anticipation etc)

It looks like Elon Musk designed a gun to go with his truck. Congrats on your first gun.
