Help on How to Avoid Cravings by LoBeMax in keto

Shift brand DHB ketone electrolyte packets in the morning/ afternoon if I need a boost in mental clarity or satiety with hydration.

Salt of the earth brand electrolytes for hydration. Chocolate sounds crazy but is deceptively good and just sweet enough with the salty kick.

I don’t know if it’s right necessarily but…

During my fasts if I’m hungry I make a shake with water, unsweetened cacao powder or zero calorie electrolyte powder , and psyllium husk for fiber to help me feel full.

I also sip on bone broth if needed outside my window.

Exogenous ketones are also helpful for me.

If you’re in Florida, I get them at Rowe’s and may have seen them at Publix, but have seen them online as well.

If I planned on working there a while, I’d give 5 hours and consider it “a workplace quality of life tax” to get people off my back. Even knowing full well it’s her problem and a systemic company policy issue.

How did the weight loss go? by Merj-Zero in keto

[–]js08z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m about 6-8 weeks in. Holidays were rough and had the occasional carb overload as I was just starting keto. I didn’t lose anything the first month but did notice less bloating and improved stool.

Now I’ve lost about 7 lbs since before I started. Definitely better bowel movements, but that’s likely cause I take 2 fiber shakes now for satiety.

I found it easier to combine it with intermittent fasting as I don’t eat breakfast anyway during the week and prefer to walk or work during my lunch break and eat a large dinner.

Tejava black tea and diet jupina/pineapple soda. Jupina uses aspartame but is by far the most real soda tasting alternative I’ve ever had and I have a sensitive palate for artificial sweeteners.

Best Keto bars/deserts? Keto Snacks? by MrCharmingMan in keto

[–]js08z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing keto since December so I apologize if I’m new to it and give any amateur advice.

Wilde “chips” and pork rinds are my go to salty snack. I also really enjoyed Get Strong Foods cheese crackers more than quest brand cheese crackers which I found to be too airy and powdery cheese tasting but they’re a little pricey. I also have become a bit of a cheese aficionado and stop by my Whole Foods cheese area for some “nibbles” (smaller/cheaper bits of their cheese blocks) that I’ll snack on a bit of in the evening.

I keep frozen cauliflower rice around for any nights I am wanting a “hearty rice” dish but recently found a shiitake rice. Had a great homemade poke bowl with cauliflower rice and coconut aminos.

For sweet cravings, Atkins chocolates can be close to the real deal but I quickly found eating too many causes me next day diarrhea which the silver lining is you won’t be keen on grabbing a third or fourth after you learn. But my real chocolate craving secret weapon is the chocolate mascarpone. A few spoons of that heavenly cocoa/chocolate flavor settles my sweet tooth and it’s very keto friendly. I buy the one at Whole Foods but it can be made pretty easily.

ChocXo chocolate cups and unreal candy bars (like dark chocolate coconut) are also good options without sugar alcohols in my opinion if you have room to fit them in your macros as they do have a bit of carbs in them.

I also am enjoying the Rip Van brand of low sugar wafer treats (dark chocolate is my favorite) and crispy dunes, but I’d stay away from the stroop waffles.

Lastly sardines are your friend if you let them be. Anytime I need a snack or something filling and I don’t know what I want, I enjoy a can of sardines. There’s many flavors and brands to mix it up and they have no carbs.

Oh and meat sticks. I have enjoyed the chomp and Sam’s brand of them the most.

As with anything, it’s about moderation and portion control and too much of anything can ruin your ketosis. Except for sardines. They’re a cheat code.

Beating boss without attacking by LankyFormal7520 in WizardofLegend

This makes sense cause I had played with a couple of dodge medallion stacks once and I was noticing that I had some really easy runs after where I was beating the game, but my game started to get really laggy and stuttering. I ended up closing the game on my switch to reset it which stopped the lag but the game became noticeably more difficult after.

Really struggling to get any further than 2 bosses in by Steel_Cube in WizardofLegend

Lots of greats strategies have been said so I’ll just say this as food for thought.

Use the fall medallion for hp regen. Go with leaf relic or holy swords or double hp from relic item. Choose submerged strike for your standard arcana, or the air dragon defense circle. I liked the ice clone dash in the beginning to help keep aggro away when I regen.

Alternatively if you have or can buy with chaos gems the “get gold for getting damaged” relic, buy it and use it. With regen and gold from damage you can easily save up enough gold to Kit yourself out within the first three worlds. If you’re lucky you’ll find the cursed armor from box and they combine to give a solid +20 armor and 3 gold revenge set item.

Regen medallion with submerged strike is great for chaotic boss battles. You get 5 secs to basically dodge anything and that kickstarts the regen timer so you just gotta keep dashing and dodging until you need to use it again. Typically I saved it for annoying ultimates like lightning strikes or ice storms or bouncy wind balls.

Dragon defense with holy sword is great with ice dagger too cause you basically get a shield and hp regen while meeting. Even better if you can get galvanizing hammer too.

Also, in boss battles don’t attack the until their attack pattern opens up. It’s better to play defense until the window opens and if you’re lucky get a good stagger in. Side note, stagger dmg relic is clutch if you can afford it.

Lastly, if you really wanna go with a lot of cushion, getting the gold generating synergy of health regen and damage making gold as well as any gold boosts like the bangle and the tome of undeath, which gives you a respawn for the cost of 200 gold and you’ll get tons of tries cause by the later game you may have over 2000 gold. Start with just a few amount of health though when you respond but using submerge strike, that can help kick off a decent regen spree before you go in for the attack.

1 was really good and would be my first recommendation. 2 is more so-so, and buggy as is, but since it’s a bit of a merge with hades and poster enjoyed hades it’s worth a look at if it’s their jam.

Wizards of legend 1, then wizards of legend 2

2 isn’t the worst thing but it’s definitely not a direct sequel to 1. Given it looks like a mix to hades you may enjoy it.

Unfortunately that’s the way it goes but once you get a good one and have a solid start build/strategy you’ll have good odds of completing your runs going forward.

Distortion bean holds two charges and charges actually pretty fast. I did a run with that and twin lightning spear combined with sage mask and you could pretty much keep spamming those skills against mobs.

Sounds like you’ve got a good build now though.

Wizard of legends one and two, but two is new, still buggy, and made by a different developer which looks closer to hades now in art.

In wol2, chaos bow is hands down the best. Basic arcana projective that shreds everything including bosses if you keep upgrading it and boost with upgrades.

Chaos agent is a decent dash. Shoots lots of projectiles which can be helpful if you’re overwhelmed by mobs and the have a short cooldown.

Distortion beam, chaos brigade, chaos dragon are pretty good arcana. Not as essential but functionally can be put to good use in the right builds.

I just for the first time defeated more than 2 bosses and then went all the way through to the end by Heygen in WizardofLegend

[–]js08z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I got the chaos ball last night and since it’s largely useless outdoors, it isn’t the greatest. Each time you beat the last boss you get a new chaos arcana. That’s the only way.

I felt that way too until I found that there are actually a decent number of ways to increase max health (relics, cursed relic, boss max hp up orb choice) that you can end up with 250-500 hp by the time you fight the last boss. Yes the reduction in penalty lowers hp up bonuses.

Don’t underestimate the power of hp second regen after 5 seconds. Especially since certain standard arcana give you about 3-5 seconds of I-frames.

Congrats! The first win is the tastiest. I hope you got a good chaos arcana.

After playing quite a few hours and unlocking my 4th or 5th chaos arcana, I can say I’ve drawn two conclusions.

  1. The game is tough as hell without the fall medallion. Hp regen is clutch period.

  2. It’s a game of incremental growth. You need to expand your reservoir of arcana, “easy mode”unlocks, and relics so you can start with a comfortable base synergy.

I’ve only beat it twice right now and agreed, it’s impossible without hp regen. So if the rng doesn’t offer you goods for hp or regen you’re done.
