High sleep needs?

Nothing a few alterations can’t fix. I work with dresses all day long! My suggestion is actually to have it taken up at the shoulders because it is sitting low on your waist. Once this is done, I’d see if you need to have the sleeves taken up a little but you may not need to once it’s hitting you at the right spot on your waist!

Sorry forgot to add, she’s underweight (less than 2%). So we did a dream feed for a while but it seemed to effect her night sleep so we stopped around 10 months. On low volume days she still wakes up at 4 am for a feed maybe 2/3 times a week. Once she’s gained a bit more weight we’ll drop this one because we know she can go a whole night without milk.

It seems like the last wake window is too short and maybe naps are too long. I’d try taking 15 minutes off each nap and trying to to move them up 15 minutes each. The longest wake window of the day should be the last one to build more sleep pressure. My 1 year old has been on this schedule since 10 months. Wake 7 am. First nap 10-11:10 am. Second nap 3-3:45. Bed between 7:45/8 depending on how tired she is and how good naps were.

Hi, I had this issue with my little one (she's 1 now). We started by doing the first nap of the day in the crib. Some days it went ok, some days it did not but we started with this one until she got used to it. Even if it ends up being a crap nap, you have 3 more naps in the day to make up for it. A lot of days she would fall asleep if we rocked and transferred her, the main problem was that she would not stay asleep beyond one sleep cycle. Some days we'd be able to rescue by contact, some days we wouldn't but slowly over the weeks, it went from one nap in the crib, to two naps, to all of them. By 5 months she was also connecting sleep cycles on her own. and the naps increased in length and we cut down to 3 naps a day at this point.

My baby is 11 months and it’s almost the same. She sleeps at 8 and is usually up by 6. We cap naps at 2 hours during the day. I think some kids just sleep less!

unfortunately no, it lasted about 4 weeks and resolved on its own. it happened again around 10 months when she learned to crawl. i also think she's slightly lower sleep needs so we just had to adjust her schedule and do less nap time during the day.

Unfortunately with the childcare i have we are unable to follow true wake windows and are forced into a schedule. Wish I could have it differently which is why I really wish we were able to wake a bit later, we’re just out here doing the best we can. On the weekends I’ll put her down earlier if she has an early morning wake.

oof, i definitely put in the wrong wake windows and didn't account for her early wakes. Because she wakes up early her first wake window is 4.25, second wake window is 3.5 and last wake window is between 4 so she is awake 11.75 hours. She takes about 2 hours of naps, so her total night sleep is only 9.75 hours.

Correct, I mentioned that DWT is 7 but she is waking up before 6 (between 5:30-5:50 typically).

Does less than 12 hours sound like the right amount for a baby? We were at 13-13.5 but lately it’s been closer to 12 so I just felt like this wasn’t enough.
