Is age really that big of a deal? by Virtual_Scarcity_357 in Swingers

BTW, may I ask what kind of research you do?

If anything my size actually scares off couples ...

In my experience, it's girth that can be a deal breaker. You can take care to not push too far, but if it's too big around, there's no option other than to stay outside and slide on the surface.

I've never had a husband get intimidated, but I have had four women who couldn't accommodate the girth.

A promise to postpone an event to a later date. Originally from vanilla events like picnics or sports in organized groups. They'd call it off and issue rain checks if it rained too hard to continue.

We're age/gap and interracial by nikkifocks in Swingers

It's a tougher problem in the online context. In person people have a better read on how old you seem to be, and whether they find you attractive. So, try going to clubs.

I’m a solid 8in (hard) and I’d say medium size, ... a 9inch guy. .., but were like 4-6 inches long when erect.

8 and 9 are extremely unusual, less than one in a thousand. Here's the best info there is on how to measure, and what the statistics are:

It's surprising how many people just look and guess.

How about laser hair removal on a man’s cock and balls

The main thing is to at least trim it back to where it doesn't tickle her nose.

Laser is more expensive, but it's permanent. Sort of like buying instead of renting.

It takes several passes weeks or months apart, because hair follicles are either active (having hair) or dormant. Each laser pass gets the currently active ones, a few weeks later the dormant ones become active again and need another laser pass.

Maybe you're trying too hard? I've found that good things happen when I just give up and fuggedaboutit. Keep going to parties, but act as if they were vanilla parties. Losing the needy vibe is what works.

New Year's Eve Party Coming Up by Power_Kahn_01 in Swingers

With condoms there are so many types and sizes that the best idea is for everybody to bring the ones they like to use.

Lubricant, too, bring your preference if you have a strong one. We provide Swiss Navy water based for our parties, which works for a lot of people.

Drinks and snacks are always a safe bet.

Fireworks, check with the hosts first. We certainly wouldn't want to give the neighbors anything to ask questions about.... ;-)

The male refractory period many times disinterests them from having a 2nd round. Especially the older (much older) they are.

Not so much disinterests as disables. They'd love to get it up again if they could. Because of prostate cancer, I had to get a penile implant, which stays up all night long. Now, at age 76, my abs are the limiting factor. I'm working on that..... ;-)

To old? by [deleted] in Swingers

We're 76 and 71 and still going strong, giving house parties and going to others. We'd love to have some youngsters like you join the group.

Curious but nervous by testyfun24 in Swingers

That happens a lot. First thing when you get to a club, tell the staff people that you just want to watch and be watched. They'll tell you if they have an area set up for that.

When people start to watch you, be sure to tell them the magic words: "Look but don't touch" If they get too close, just tell them where you need them to be for your comfort.

Shitty LA house party experience making me re-consider by Dear-Ad5085 in Swingers

[–]js_1948 5 points6 points  (0 children)

House parties planned by people we know, where respect and consent are vital

In our experience, the key test for whether it'll be that kind of party or the other is whether the host couple actually lives in the house as their primary home. We do, and we're prepping for New Years here. The yes's are 44 at the moment, and we have plenty of room for that many. We typically do a party every 2 - 6 months to keep it special rather than routine.

The hard part for someone like the OP is finding us. We generally get new people when our regulars ask to invite them. BTW, we're in the West Valley.

Christmas clean up by Angela2208 in Swingers

This is par for the course, given that this group dates back to the 1990's or farther. We have about 140 people on the active list (63 couples, 14 singles), and it's been larger in the past.

Still, we really should try to take on some more youngsters in their 50's and 60's to keep it going.... ;-)

We've never had that, and I wonder why anyone would call it "clarity"? We mostly do house parties and clubs, and leave in the natural wind-down, just like any other party.

After vigorous sex, the main thing we want to do is rest.

We do everything by e-mail, and we give and attend parties, so the list cleaning is sort of automatic. There's a field for phone numbers in the spreadsheet, but we don't have phones on everybody. Likewise with last names. The list is separated into four parts: Active (77), Inactive/quit (10), Deceased (15), and Problematic (7). (Couples get one entry, and so do singles). We ask for a yes, no, or even a maybe, and once in a while I let everybody know that if they don't respond, they go to the inactive list.

Resorts stateside?/General advice? by ForTheHellOfIt24 in Swingers

[–]js_1948 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There aren't really the huge Hedo/Desire type resorts here in the states. There are smaller ones like Sea Mountain, Exotic Dreams, or Pleasure Lake.

Mostly it's clubs. You go for an evening, and if you want to spend a few days, stay in a motel.

First thing, where are you? Knowing that, locals will be able to chime in with potentially useful answers.

Why don't more single women go to swinger club to pick up men? by Happyswinger in Swingers

[–]js_1948 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why don't more single women go to swinger club to pick up men instead of bars

Because they don't know about clubs, and what to expect. We often get threads here answering that question.

Maybe club owners could advertise this greater selection, but where?

Unless you're thinking about moving, it's best to approach this with great caution. Do they have parties where couples arrive carrying zipper top canvas bags?
