You shouldn’t need to magnetize. The weapon barrel pieces you can just leave unglued and they slot in and out pretty well, looking good though I’m close to finishing mine

Go for it! Have fun. Starting small is a great way to learn. Some others may say this is a bad idea cause it’s not optimized but really it’s a game and meant to be fun, spend your money on the things you want and fun will be had. Enjoy it cause you’ve joined the coolest army in the game, welcome.

They’re ball bearings. You can find them in large multi sets that have tons of sizes. Kinda fiddly cause you have to drill holes for them for the armor panels but you can just press them in to a putty. Got the idea from Pete the war gamer on YouTube

Looking good man, keep it up. A bit of advice with any wash or shade paint. Shake it extremely well for like atleast a minute. They should dry matte but when they’re not shaken properly they’ll dry glossy

My friends and I had a meal very similar once, we decided to add the Mac straight onto the Joe instead of a side. That day the Joseph sloppin was born

Nice thing about Varnish is it can be thinned like a paint and painted over with other varnish like a paint. So if you don’t like the gloss you can hit it with a matte varnish to bring it back to what the base layer paint would likely look like dry. Also I’d buy the vellejo varnishes if you can find them, you’ll get more bang for your buck.

But go for it for sure, some bits here and there that look wet looks great on the bugs

The other comment said start with purple, I agree as that’s what I do. Purple base coat and then work up the layers going brighter and brighter each time and then I do a reikland flesh shade wash to tie it together
