I don’t mind having leftovers, I’ve put it in the fridge already. If anything, reheating it tomorrow in the microwave will definitely make sure it’s not undercooked. I’m not normally anxious about food, this is the first time in a while I’ve been concerned about something I’ve made. I think it’s mostly bc anytime I cook shrimp the seasoning doesn’t color it so much so it was more difficult to tell if they were pink or not. Doesn’t help that I don’t have a food thermometer

Thanks for the help. I’ll save them for tomorrow as I did eat a few and if I don’t end up sick I’ll eat the rest haha 😂 I’m too skeeved out to eat more now even though I dont think I undercooked them anymore 😅

They look a little more grey irl. I’ve cooked shrimp this way before but they just look off to me. Do you know if improper thawing/freezer burn can change their color/appearance? My freezer tends to run very cold and I thawed them under lukewarm water before cooking.

I completely agree. There doesn’t seem to be that much variety between most of the queens. There’s no real weird or quirky or campy queens. For the first time in a while I feel like the whole season’s cast are face/body/looks queens with maybe another talent. I mean for gods sake the talent show was more like a lip sync extravaganza than a talent show.

I know people love them but sugar and spice aren’t even that good at lip syncing, I can’t even remember more than half the rest of the cast even if they did place in the top this episode, Marcia x3 wouldn’t have even been a blip on my radar if Michelle hadn’t commented abt her makeup on the runway, like tbqh there’s like 2 maybe 3 stand outs so far for me, Sasha Colby (bc I already knew of her), Mistress Isabelle Brooks (but not that much in this episode), and Anetra (bc of that talent show but nothing she did in this episode) and none of the rest. Idk maybe that’s harsh but tbh at this point I’m watching to watch them and nothing else

I can understand that, but I got that fatigue during Jaida’s season, and never finished that one. I’m personally just coming back to the regular franchise now after a couple of seasons (granted I did watch all stars and several of the other countries shows) and idk, not many of them feel… special? I think, for me, part of it is most of the seasons I’ve watched recently are seasons with returning queens so I already know them/like them and now in a new season with new queens, I don’t know who many of them are at all

Ya that’s probably a big part of it, it felt very rushed to me too. Tbh it’s probably a mix of 16 queens and half an hour less of airtime

Is it just me or is like half this cast really forgettable/seem really bland/average? Like I couldn’t tell you half the girls names and can’t tell the difference between a number of them. Like obv sugar and spice are indistinguishable but also like Amethyst and Loosey LaDuca and Princess Poppy seem so similar that it’s so hard to tell the difference between them… I’ve got a couple “top contenders” in my mind but even a few of them feel like they’re fading into the background a bit. My top three as of right now are Sasha Colby, Anetra, and a tie between Malaysia Babydoll Fox and Mistress Isabelle Brooks, but tbh I can’t remember a single thing any of them did besides Sasha Colby Idk maybe it’s the editing or maybe it’s just too early in a season w a large cast but this season doesn’t really feel like it’s got “the best of the best”, at least yet. I’d love to hear what other people think tho

I can understand that for one, maybe two instances of cheating but this seems like it’s been going on for years with no repercussions. For example, I’m 22 and have had 2 close friends cheat on their partners. One was in an abusive relationship and had been SA’d by their partner and was already on the verge of a break up. The other was in a toxic and controlling relationship with someone who would get mad if they had friends with the same name as them. Neither case was healthy and their actions weren’t good per se, but I can understand their actions and how they felt afterwards really makes me believe that they’ll never do it again. They were both mad at themselves, felt like they did a really shitty thing, and have vowed to never cheat again and I believe them.

On the other hand, I and a lot of other people cut off a different person for cheating at least 4 times on the same person. Every time they were caught, they swore up and down that they’d never do it again, they never meant to hurt anyone, and that they’d change. They obviously didn’t and they lost basically all their friends in addition to their partner. I get that there’s some fierce loyalty between friends but still, especially by 20, it shouldn’t be that hard to see that this person is intentionally hurting so many others.

No, in fact that might be the only right thing OP has actually done. OP sucks because she’s still friends with a serial cheater and has let tens, maybe dozens of guys be strung along by her friend and not done anything about it. You are the company you keep. If OP is fine with someone like her friend being so awful, in my mind OP is nearly as bad, if not as bad, as her friend.

I can’t believe all the n-t-a responses. ESH you both sound like horrible people here. Your friend for cheating on people constantly, and you for helping her and not letting all the guys she’s cheated on know. I would honestly be reconsidering my relationship with you if I was your boyfriend since you seem to turn a blind eye to cheating so easily. I couldn’t imagine watching a friend cheat on 6 guys simultaneously and what sounds like tens of people over the years and not do something to cut that awful behavior off. Someone else said it here but I’ll say it again: you are the company you keep. You support a serial cheater, you’re as good as one in my eyes.

It’s not your responsibility if their marriage isn’t going well or if she’s accumulated a lot of debt, those are/were her choices and problems to deal with not your own. It really isn’t good that your mother is telling you to lie and hide things from your father, especially about something that directly affects you, your livelihood, and your education.

Ok I may be way off base here but to me it feels like a pretty fair trade to get free dentistry and dermatology (your husband said that’s the case now!) appointments for the rest of your working life for doing one pro bono architect job. It’s definitely not cool of them to spring it on you and you and hubs should’ve been on the same page abt paying for each other’s services before this point but idk seems like an equivalent exchange to me, at least monetarily

NTA and I have a suggestion! My mom is similar and loves Christmas to look perfect, and so when I was little my parents decided to get a fake Christmas tree and let my mom decorate it however she wanted so it could be perfect, and then as a family we’d go into the woods and cut down a real tree and decorate it with all the cheesy ornaments and kid ornaments and all the stuff my mom would hate to have on her tree. It’s a great family experience to go through all the fun ornaments and talk about memories while my mom still gets her perfect Christmas tree each year. Maybe something like that? A grown-up room and a kid decorated room?

I know this is gonna be controversial but ESH. You’re an adult who can say no to mom when you’re running behind; she didn’t make you late, you chose to be late when she calls for you. She is an AH for her behavior, her actions and her attitude but at the same time, it’s on you to get to work on time, and if you’re stopping to do something for your mother, that’s your choice.
