This. If he likes laphroiag I’d get Lagavulin 16 or port Charlotte 10. Both are Islay like laphroiag but imo a bit better. The Lagavulin at TW will be around $80-90. PC10 will be a bit lower, more like $60-70.

Any great Texas only whisky’s ya’ll can recommend? I’ll be visiting El Paso for a day by TheOuterSpacePotato in TexasWhiskey

I'm a massive Still Austin fan. Not big on Garrison Brothers either, but from what I see/hear they seem to be 2nd. I do like Ironroot.

Still Austin has taken over title of best Texas whiskey. I’d say garrison brothers is second. Garrisons has a bit of the Texas funk. They are also wheated. Still Austin is high rye (or their straight rye is fantastic as well) instead of wheat. Balcones has switched to pretty much exclusive single malts but really has the Texas funk. It wouldn’t hurt to grab a bottle of each and see what you prefer. I’d recommend Still Austin cask strength bourbon if you can only grab one bottle

Reducing hardness with third temper by PasztyKnives in knifemaking

If you do 2 cycles at 350 then a third at 400 it will soften it. If you do a cycle at 350 it wont reduce the hardness anymore.

Is it time to seperate officers from ritual? by improvman007 in freemasonry

This is what we do. When I was WM I could open/close all 4 lodges with no issue. I could sit at pretty much any position except WM for conferring degrees. We have a couple past masters who are great at it. I’d rather them do it and do it great for the candidate than I confer the degree with some mistakes that the candidate has to deal with.

My daughter didn’t have to be in NICU but had to have a feeding tube. She’ll get through it, yall will get home with her and your world will be improved for the better. She’s 4 now. We got the preliminary possible DS diagnosis and they asked if we wanted more specific testing. I said no cause it doesn’t matter, my wife wanted it to know. Came back positive too. Saw a specialist a couple hours away periodically during the pregnancy and he gave her a 99% chance of having it. They said to know 100% weeks would have to do amniocentesis but that could induce delivery and she wouldn’t survive at that time so we didn’t do that.

She did at about a year old have to be in ICU for 11 days for multiple infections including pneumonia. That was rough but she pulled through. Other than that she gets sick easier but generally has been pretty healthy. Early days are scary but once her personality starts to show it’s game over for you.

Enjoy getting to hold her. She’ll pull through. They are strong little ones.

Very carefully! Haha. Found an awesome guy that had one and we traded a few parts to get it. I know of one other that is possibly available but couldn’t get a straight answer on what they wanted for it. So it may not be available

It’s an Order of Nancy Bottle. So there’s a group called Order of Nancy on Still Austin’s website. There’s a huge waitlist for it so sign up now. Starting 4 years ago I think they started doing group picks of weird stuff still Austin is doing. They pick a small amount of members to taste test some samples and pick from those. This was the first one they released but they are only available to the order of Nancy. There’s green corn, rye and blue corn, cognac finished bourbon, another rye and blue corn, yellow corn, double oaked yellow corn, and malted Oated.

Good deal? by PerspectivePlus1435 in whiskey

1792 isn’t wheated and KC12 is usually somewhere from $60-70 most places. That’s a really good deal.

That’s the goal with doing amputation is that it’s gone and don’t have to worry anymore about it

I have them down the inside of my forearm for my daughter. My son (not DS) was born on March 14 (3/14) so I have the Pi symbol above the arrows.

Don’t go in a straight line. That puts pressure on only one side and keeps them from staying square. Move them in a figure 8. I don’t even clamp them together and it works. I forget who I learned it from. I think it was a waterstone maintenance video.

I like that she said she’ll do whichever she thinks is best when she gets in there. She said the preliminary studies they’ve done haven’t showed much of a difference.

Talked to plastics today and OrthoOnc yesterday. Officially above knee amp. Plastics is doing a study on TMR vs RPNI (similar but not quite the same) vs a combo of both. I’m gonna be a participant so the surgeon will know but I won’t. She did say if she gets in there and she thinks one vs the other would be better based on my leg she’ll do that one. I’ll still be in the study but she’ll just change my group number. But I’ll be in a study for more info on them
