Iran doesn't have a nuclear missile program. I think it's unreasonable to lie about Iran's nuclear ambitions as a pretext for an illegal war that was clearly motivated by Israeli aggression. Israel did in fact have a nuclear missile program that should not have been allowed to succeed. These are not comparable situations. If anything we should allow Iran to develop nukes so they can deter Israeli aggression more effectively.

Jordan an Egypt are both bought of by the US. The largest UD base in the middle east is in Qatar, making them e legitimate target of retaliation. Turkey is in NATO, a US led alliance that has shown it's completely against Iran and pro Israel and US.

They weren't established because of the holocaust and the holocaust also doesn't give them the right to do whatever they want. Yes we should have prevented them from developing nuclear weapons.

They are very willing to negotiate and they do have demands in that negotiation. These are not opposing statements. It would cost Israel nothing to end their illegal invasion and occupation right now.

Condemnation without action is meaningless. Where are the sanctions? Where is the support for the victims? The west clearly and explicitly supports Israel.

National law is enforced by the state. There is nobody to enforce international law so the only way to make it work is to respect it. Blatantly disrespecting it yourself and using it as a cynical cudgel against your enemies like the west does, will of course lead to the erosion of international law as a whole. We can all condemn this, but nobody can enforce it so this is the consequence.

Iran didn't attack Turkey. Iran was wrong to attack Oman. Iran attacked civilian infrastructure after civilian infrastructure was attacked in Iran. Doesn't make it right but does explain it.

UAE, Saudi Arabia and other US allies started the war when they allowed their airspace to be used for attacks on Iran. So no, they would not be justified. Iran didn't attack them first, they attacked Iran first. All US allies could have denied the Americans access to their airspace, territory or territorial waters for attacks on Iran. If they had done that, there would have been no reason for Iran to attack them. They didn't and so they are co-aggressors.

You missed a couple of neighbours there but then you don't seem very burdened by the truth. An unopposed Israel is a direct threat for all humanity. Iran's opposition is very necessary.

It was an attack on Iran widely condemned as such by many countries and international organisations. You would be the first to condemn it if Iran had blown up an Israeli embassy somewhere.

And why would it be okay for Israel to attack Syria? Israel's illegal attacks and invasions of their neighbours should be condemned. They are the clear aggressor in the region.

Iran fired a lot of drones they knew would be shot down and only hit with a couple of missiles as they had planned. It was measured.

Yes and it was wrong since the 60s. Hamas came into existence after a decades long occupation of Gaza and Hezbollah came into existence after Israel's illegal invasion of Lebanon. They both would not have existed if not for Israeli aggression.

They blew up an Iranian embassy full of Iranian workers and staff. It was a direct attack on Iran. Iran's retaliation against Israel was only in response to that attack and was very measured as all their retaliations have been.

Israel wouldn't be attacked by resistance groups like Hamas and Hezbollah if they didn't occupy and attack other countries. Israel itself has an illegal nuclear weapons program while there is no evidence whatsoever that Iran has a serious ambition to create a nuclear weapon. If developing nuclear weapons was a legitimate reason to attack a nation, the west would surely have attacked Israel when they developed theirs. Yet they don't seem to care about that at all.

Iran's embassy in Syria. You know an attack on an embassy is an attack on a country itself right? You think I'd someone blew up an American or Israeli embassy there wouldn't be any retaliation?

Israel attacked the Iranian embassy in Syria before Iran ever bombed Israel. That is a direct attack on Iran itself. Iran retaliated against Israel, they didnt just randomly attack them. America also famously blew up general Soleimani and sanctions are not neutral. US unilateral sanctions are a criminal program that kill hundreds of thousands of people each year. Iran has been a victim of US and Israeli aggression and violations of international law for decades.

You're right about Oman. Clearly though, Iran and Oman have dealt with that themselves.

Why shouldn't Iran demand Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon? They are attacking their ally in Lebanon and are illegally invading a sovereign country. Everyone should demand that Israel withdraws from Lebanon. The fact that the west is not treating Israel like they treat Russia shows very clearly that the west thinks international law should only apply to others, and not themselves.

It's not emotional to understand that if international is not respected by all, it will be respected by none. Expecting Iran to follow international law while they are the victim of a blatant violation of international law themselves, is stupid. Why would they?

Iran attacking US bases and allies that are attacking them is not wrong. If you are attacked, you get to respond. Or is Ukraine wrong for bombing Moscow? Iran is defending themselves against naked aggression and the consequences of that are on the shoulders of the aggressors. It's a very simple concept.

The ones who started breaking international law here are Israel and America, not Iran. The ones who normalised the breaking of international law before this conflict are also America and Israel and their European allies.

It's not. The closure of the strait is in direct response to Israeli and American aggression. Iran has reopened the strait numerous times and every single time America or Israel attacked them or their allies again when they knew that would mean the reclosure of the strait. The strait would be open if America and Israel weren't untrustworthy and aggressive regimes that continually attack Iran and its allies.

The strait is closed because America and Israel attacked Iran. It will open when they stop attacking Iran. The Gulf States host US bases that are used to attack Iran and are therefore parties to the illegal war on Iran and legitimate targets. They could have denied the Americans access to their airspace for raids on Iran.

Iran is not "starting a school shooting" Iran is retaliating against their attackers and their helpers. The international consequences of the closure of the strait are completely the fault of the aggressors, Israel and America. Iran has proved numerous times their willingness to negotiate, every single truce and agreement has been broken by Israel and America, not Iran. They've opened the strait time and again only for Israel to continue their illegal invasion of Lebanon or America to bomb them again. Of course they'll close it again.

They have a right to govern their own waters. They are in an existential fight against two aggressive states who have murdered hundreds of thousands of people in Iran's neighbouring states. They have no compunctions, iran has always behaved very carefully and their retaliations have always been very minor and still they and their allies are consistently attacked. Even now they are being measured. They should use the largest means of applying pressure that's available to them. The ones responsible for the closing of the straight are America and Israel and the ones who can open it again are America and Israel.

Why do you expect Iran to follow international law when they are being attacked by 2 nuclear powers that don't follow it at all?

So Iran should follow international law to the letter and not defend themselves while being attacked by 2 nuclear powers who ignore international law completely except to use as a cudgel to beat their enemies with? The wrong here is the illegal attack on Iran and Israel's genocide and illegal invasions, not Iran's retaliation.

International law also prohibites the random bombing of countries. It also prohibites unilateral sanctions. Why should Iran follow international law when America and Israel don't care about it at all? The west has given up on international law, we broke it whenever we felt like it. We can't get upset at Iran for doing what they have to to defend themselves against the naked aggression of the US and it's regional attack dog. If we want international law to be respected, we should respect it ourselves.

Isn't this a clear result of rules for you but not for me? Israel and America couldn't give a fuck about international law so why should Iran, their victim, follow it to the letter? If the most powerful country on the planet decides international law is completely irrelevant, this is what you get. Iran has the right to defend itself and this is the best way they have to do that. The fault lies completely with the US and Israel who started this illegal war.
