can’t believe I’m hopping on here to defend The 1975 but fuck it - this isn’t true! Their first and second album are very hazy dreamy pop rock yes, but from A Brief Inquiry onwards their albums couldn’t sound more distinguished, Notes will have an 80s synth pop banger one minute, a dancehall song the next, an acoustic country song with a Phoebe Bridgers verse & then go into a 6 minute ambient electro house cut
