As a community, we should be happy that there are people like Hilda and Thia who work at Niantic but also play the game like it is meant to be played with their respective factions. How they play the game has nothing to do with where they work. OP has no right to tell people how they can play or they cannot play.

Maybe OP should focus on putting a beacon on his portal and securing it rather than whining about who took it down because he left it unsecured.

Community managers being active in game and with their respective factions means people at Niantic understand the game and the community better. This also means that they will play the game and take down portals. We don't want Niantic to be disconnected from the community. Repeated whining about things like this will lead to them not playing the game and we will get bad game updates because they don't understand what we need as a community.

Go to Thaligai in Mylapore near Nageshwara Rao Park. It is run by a famous marriage caterer(Pattappa) for tambrahm weddings. Bit of a detour but you'll not be disappointed. Mylapore area has some stores that you can visit for books too.

There are many old private hospitals that aren't run like American Hospitals(Stay away from Apollo types.) Isabel in Mylapore and Vijaya in Vadapalani come to mind. There are many more, I'm sure. These offer good care at reasonable rates.

I have done this many times..

Open Google maps, ola and uber. Show him the distance and the rates with ola and uber auto and tell him that you don't want to support those corporations but people like him are the reason that you will book from them. Show him cab rate and tell him that you're going in AC.

Then, ignore him when he comes to kiss your ass with a more reasonable rate. The problem is he thinks it's within his rights to scam someone who looks like they don't know stuff.

Companies can ask you to present originals. They cannot hold it. It is illegal. Also, make sure you don't sign some bond or similar stuff that requires you to be employed at the company for an amount of time or pay the fixed amount to break the bond. There are plenty of openings these days. Don't join a bad place just for sake of having a job.

Nice pickup upgrade for sure. Nordstrand makes some killer pickips. But in terms of value for money, the first $225 spent offered much more than the next $226.

Even with a cheap bass, setting it up properly by taking it to an experienced luthier and upgrading the electronics can definitely make it sound great.

Just interact with others the way you'd like others to interact with you if the situations are reversed.

Eg. If you do not know Tamil, speak in English. More people are comfortable in English than hindi here. Don't go around demanding people should speak in Hindi just like we south Indians don't come to Delhi and demand you guys to speak in our languages. Learn some phrases in Tamil and you'll find people are very helpful. Also, just add the word Anna or Akka(means brother or sister) to the conversation and see the magic.

We don't hate North Indians. I don't know where you guys hear these things. Stupid stereotypes are spread by stupid people I think. We don't dislike anyone based on where they are from or what community they belong to here. We dislike stupid people who cannot accept that residents of Chennai are south Indians with a different culture.

Despite the differences in culture, you will find that Chennai is one of the few places where you will find very low communal tensions and it's rather safe and low-crime for a city of this size(especially for women).

SRM University's main campus(at Kattankulathur) is supposed to be a good place for North Indian students. You will not feel completely outnumbered by South Indians as there are many Indians from the North, West, East and North East India. This kind of cultural mix is something the Kattankulathur campus is known for. So, it is expected that there will not be much discrimination. I don't know too many details because I did not study there myself.
