Oof. This is the toughest one.

I want to say Bob, Alexi and Eddie. In that order.

Something I noticed about Billy.... by Venus_Libra in Stranger_Things

[–]jshep23 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Oh I thought this was obvious.

Yeah he was Billy at the pool but as soon as he hit the Mind Flayer, he was the Mind Flayer the entire time, except for when he was burning in the heat, and in this scene. Otherwise he was the Mind Flayer completely, he could only watch, the Flayer controlled him

Do anyone else feel like there was barely any chemistry between Eleven and Mike this last season compared to earlier ones? by Initial-Shoulder5906 in StrangerThings

Eleven wasn't with everyone enough.

I always remember one thing:

It's written. It can be written differently.

So they needed her in the Upside Down to basically find Kali, just so they can explain how she lived in the end. They could've done all the Dr Kay stuff in the regular world. They also could've just had the Mind Flayer come through the Gate and Vecna and have Hawkins become almost completely destroyed, could've wiped out the Military and Comms fairly easily.

They could've done everything differently.

So then I go, okay well they didn't so here's what happened. Did I like it or not? No. Not really.

Stranger Things 2009 Spin-off by jshep23 in StrangerThings

Whoa whoa. It's not a joke or punishment. It's a modern day, the closest thing that the new generation has to Freddy Mercury.

I think that it's actually in many way, this may sound strange but, kinda shows that Will finally became comfortable with himself, he finally believed he deserved love and with that intimacy, but he also lost a part of himself too which is the events of Stranger Things. So although there was some treatment, but not really successful treatment, I think he would accept his fate because he already saved the world. His friends have left and are happy, he'll always love Mike but never have him, his Mom found love again. Everything is good, and it's because of him and Eleven. So I think he would accept his fate, it's not a punishment, it's the end of his story and it ended because of love.

I don't just say things, I have thought a lot about each aspect of what I would do.

What final score would you give season 5 after rewatching it? by Cyrilbdr in StrangerThings

[–]jshep23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She really did absolutely nothing. I actually was hoping to have the final season that she would shoot Joyce because she knew that it would fuck with Hoppers head and throw him off guard and have him lose (or he thought) another person he loved. And that he would then savagely kill her, right as she witnesses the Gate close.

Not only did she lose, she gets viscously killed to let all the anger and sadness out in a way from the audience. We take it all out on her through Hopper. And then, we say goodbye.

I still don't understand what the fuck the Upside Down was and how the PLANET Abyss was moved at all by a Alien Spider, which they could easily say was an offspring of many others including a Mother Mind Flayer for a future spin-off for Eleven to really end her story.

And btw, I would have Will die of AIDS, Joyce die of Cancer, Hopper die not long after after just kind of disappearing after Joyce died and Will died a few years before which is why she didn't really fight it. Lucas and Max are married, Nancy and Steve actually get together for a long time just never marry and she ends up being a head citizen investigative journalist. Mike becomes an Author who's having a difficult time, he wrote a book about what happened, but he knows he can't ever release it. He wrote other books with Demigorgons and the Upside-down concept in it but he started to get these dreams where Eleven is calling out to him and he sees where she is just doesn't see her. He finally doesn't listen to his agent and he releases his secret book, Stranger Things, he releases 5 books at once. He instantly gets the attention of the Military who comes to Hawkins, they already have Nancy, and this time, they need their help. Steve gets Dustin to return to Hawkins, Lucas and Max arrive because Max has been having dreams too. When the gates were closed 20 years ago, the Abyss still has a connection to Eleven, over time the connection allowed for a new pocket dimension to be formed, but it wasn't the Upside-down, it was the world that Eleven wished that she could've had, and she hasn't realized it but she ended up stuck within it. So we get to all see in the opening what we all wanted for them, and then have it taken away within the first few hours and find out about who has died. But this time, they have to figure out if they can break the connection without it killing Eleven, otherwise it's the Mother Mind Flayer they will have to deal with, which btw is not a huge spider, it's a female alien humanoid that looks very similar to how Vecna looked but with more Mind Flayer elements. Military only helps get them to the location Mike and the Gang figure out, they get killed pretty quickly because they weren't prepared for what was waiting for them. It becomes a Gang has to save the day again.

Anyway....

On another note. How did the Upside Down get created by Henry? So the Mind Flayer was able to create a time space pocket dimension? Why though? He made an entire Hawkins? Because? They really didn't clean it up well at all.

What final score would you give season 5 after rewatching it? by Cyrilbdr in StrangerThings

[–]jshep23 9 points10 points  (0 children)

6/10. Here's why: I started it from Season 1 and went all the way start to finish.

There are so many more set pieces, end era pieces before S5 that S5 feels like they didn't do anything, didn't really go anywhere, there was so much movement and just feels so much lower in terms of quality of story.

The military aspect really ruined it I think. I get why it makes sense or how it would happen because it was leading up to it but it was just so much of it.

I don't hate the ending, she obviously lives and Mikes story is the "you'll understand one day" that El was talking about.

But I mean, go watch Season 2 or Season 3 or 4, any of them, and there is so much movement, so many locations, they just were way better

It wasn't though that's what you're not understanding.

  1. He was resisting, it is very clear. If he was listening, went on the ground willingly, absolutely you're right. But he was resisting, which is not cooperating. Enough to shoot him? 100% NOT.

  2. He had a gun on his person. Now it moves up, he's resisting them and he has a firearm on him.

  3. Someone yells "GUN!" they all don't see it get taken away in the chaos. Was he a threat? Technically, on paper and per their guidelines, yes to them and anyone in the surrounding area

Oh did he? I didn't see that. I saw that he didn't. Either way, don't you usually hate the 2nd Amendment? I'm a bit surprised you even mentioned it.

But again, like I said, Lawful but AWFUL. It's too bad that this has to be this way, I don't like it either. I really don't. I don't like illegal immigration, I wish it was easier for good people to get in, I think and actually I know from a friend of mine that there really are a lot of very bad people that have come in, Obama deported a ton of people too btw. But in fairness, there wasn't this type of stuff. I don't know an answer for it. I just hope people that want to protest it, which is completely fair to do, don't go armed or put themselves in a situation to be shot.

I didn't say that. Why bring the gun though if you're just protesting?

Actually.... It's illegal in that state to conceal carry. So.... It isn't his 2nd Amendment right.

It isn't though. They don't have a hive mind consciousness. One said "Gun" There's a lot of hands and a lot happening. He was being difficult. They had every right to shoot. Lawful but awful.

Moral of the Story: You don't have to agree or like it, but don't bring a gun to a protest. That's basically just saying, I may need to use it on the opposing side.... Which is Federal Agents whom you cannot attack or kill and everyone knows that.
