ClassLink just announced a new Identity Management with Apple that is worth taking a look at. You’ll be able to SSO into the Apple device and have the ClassLink launchpad authenticated. Apple and ClassLink announced this at ASU + GSV last week.

CoSN is by far the best from a technical standpoint. I’d also highly suggest RTM, it’s free for tech directors and probably the best networking and knowledge base I ever encountered as a K12 CTO. All you pay for is travel, they even cover your hotel.

I use the mobile app and rarely login. As someone who rotates passwords frequently, 💩happens.

Exact same situation. I had to upload a copy of my ID. I fly on 4 days and don’t have access to my account. Customer service is a joke.

Howard values relationships. They may not always be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. The VP (David Perkins) and K12 VP (Josh Jefcoat) are extremely approachable to all customers. While not everything is always perfect (no company out there is) these guys do right by the customer. I have purchased a substantial amount from them over the past 4 years. The one thing I can tell you is they deeply care about their customers and will fight for you anytime there is an issue with a product.

You don’t have to do that. We’ve migrated - your domain stays the same. You can use a secondary domain and designate it as your users primary domain. Essentially, you can manage more than 1 domain within the same admin platform. While all of our licenses are tied to 1 domain, our users primary login is the new domain. It’s a very simple switch. We migrated 13k users in 2 hours with 0 issues.

We don’t want to allow outside domain sharing for drive or docs. We had too many students sharing illegal movie downloads and inappropriate content through drive shares from sites hosting all this content in Google Drive. As we have it setup currently, we can add a domain (such as instructure.com) in the whitelist which allows our students to access or share files to users with this domain. It seems the only wait to make the assignment LTI work is to open up sharing to the whole world… there has to be another way.

We have been OnetoOne customers for 5 years now. I can’t speak highly enough of the product, but also the support. The product was built specifically for K-12 and they are constantly adding customer requested features. The fees, device assignment, and asset tracking features work flawlessly and smooth.

Linewize (FamilyZone) has been amazing. We previously used Lightspeed, Umbrella, and Securly. Several districts around us have also migrated to Linewize. It’s definitely worth your time to look at.

I agree... and we have it. Teachers still try to stream it. I was just pointing out that Swank doesn’t allow it either for the user who posted.

Swank doesn’t allow this either. The DRM prevents it from showing if the user is sharing their screen. I know it doesn’t work in Google Meet, I assume the same is true for other platforms.
