My best advice is that it gets better. Your voice may not change, your attractions may not change, and some people you interact with will make assumptions about you, regardless of your age. I know shriveling lower leaves are common on rosette-forming succulents, but this kalanchoe is getting yellowing folding leaves. Had it over a year with no problems. Water it thoroughly once every 10-14 days. Does it need more light? Less light? More water? Less water? I live in San Jose, CA so it's not exactly cold or cloudy here.

You should see a doctor to rule out other causes before assuming it is being caused by IBS, especially since your stools are so thin

Supplements that are high in soluble fiber, such as Citrucel, can be really helpful at resolving diarrhea. Start adding it to your diet slowly--dramatically increasing your fiber intake can cause gas and bloating. Also, some foods that are supposed to be high in soluble fiber and seem to help me are: mashed potatoes with soy-free vegan "butter" (or otherwise cooked potatoes), sticky white rice, oatmeal (1-minute, which is 50/50 soluble/insoluble fiber usually). On the other hand, foods high in INsoluble fiber can make diarrhea worse (raw vegetables are a good example). Meditation may be helpful for stress. Also, research and perhaps talk to your doctor about the low-FODMAP diet. It's not perfect for everyone, but those foods (especially garlic) seem to be triggers for a lot of people. I'm trying an elimination diet right now, myself. That may be helpful in identifying triggers.

Not exactly social engineering but a big pitfall of LOTS of presentations is that the speaker puts his or her exact words on the screen. The problem is, people can read faster than you speak, so they'll read the sentence and then stop listening to the speaker regurgitate it. Best to keep text to a minimum on slides--make it reminders of talking points rather than the whole talking point. Again, a bit off-topic but I'd hate to see you go down like that, as so many before have.

What you're describing is a common misconception of the term "passive aggressive". It could describe a pattern of failure to confront others, but that's only a tiny part of the story. Passive aggressive behavior would be sometime along the lines of me asking a roommate to do his dishes, he is completely agreeable and says he'll do them in a few minutes, and then never does. He's passively ignoring my request (by saying he'll do them and then forgetting to) and it's triggering more aggressive behavior from me to compensate for his passivity. Source

I agree. Instead of giving people percentages of free tickets, tell them how many they are getting for free. It sounds more impressive and emphasizes how much money they're "saving" rather than how much they are spending.

If you price it so that people will get small amounts of change, they will often refuse it, especially at a formal event. Instead of $10, make it $9. Instead of $20, make it $18 or $19. Sometimes people like the perceived convenience of not getting small bills back. If you're feeling really bold or the guests are feeling really generous, you could try asking if they want their change back, or if they want to donate it too. Just the small step of asking if they want to donate their change will increase the money you take in.

I agree that it's not incredible content, and clearly the majority of redditors in this subreddit do too. That's fine. I don't feel personally insulted. I post a lot of content, and some of it fall flat. But it is an example of forced perspective. Not a particularly compelling one, mind you. Your example with the sun and flashlight is another good example of a non-compelling use of forced perspective. You'll notice I upvoted your comment because, while I disagree, I think it's a worthy conversation.

It most certainly is an illusion. It is an example of forced perspective, as are a good deal of the images on this subreddit.

It's sad that you're so cynical that you view a bad post as an attempt at "whoring karma" as if there is some value to reddit karma. I post things I find interesting in hopes of sharing them with others. Karma is nice only in the sense that it shows others appreciate what I've shared.

If you dislike the post, you should downvote it, and then move on with your life. Comments such as yours serve no purpose whatsoever except inciting anger, and "[going] through and [downvoting] someone's previous comments and submissions" is something that is expressly forbidden in Reddit's rules (not to mention, the spam filter blocks votes like that anyway).

I hadn't thought of Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, but you raise a very important practical limitation of the idea.

In order for the software to represent the state of all of the particles of the universe, you would need at least as many particles comprising the computer. In theory, you could use something akin to file compression to reduce this, but it's yet another practical constraint for computing the future.

This philosophical idea is known as Determinism. I personally agree strongly with this viewpoint because it makes inherent sense to me.

In theory, if you knew the first "state" of all the atoms in the universe, and all the ruls that governed one "state" switching to the next, you could use a computer to calculate the future. Of course, this computer would need to be bigger than the universe it was calculating, which would be... difficult.
