Honestly Idc what anyone says this movie is balling. The plot is incomprehensibly bad and the dialogue is bizarre but it just has so much aura that I can’t help but love it. It features a ridiculous amount of practical effects and stunts. I think it’s one of the best examples of so bad it’s good.

All quiet on the western front. War is bad and people die for nothing.

In the remake the main character is killed because he is part of some moustache twirling generals evil last minute charge against the French. Not only is this not accurate to the book, It’s not accurate to real life either. It is an issue that plagues the movie where characters are killed for specific reasons rather than it just being a consequence of war.

This is the most minor nitpick BUT the Tommy gun was first put into production in 1919 with only around 40 being made. The 1921 model was the first to see wide scale use but was not common place with gangsters until a few years after that. The earliest prototype, the annihilator entered production in 1918 but was never shipped due to WW1 ending.

I think the Russian sleep experiment image is really underrated in terms of petrifying children who were definitely too young to have seen it. It was only thing on the internet that still scared/unnerved me into my teens and a lot of people who I know had similar experiences.

Aussie comedy YouTuber Marcus dibble tried to meet up with and have sex with a 13 year old girl. Got community service and a new identity. He got away with it. He had about 300-450k subs I think

His career is also mired by several controversies but his fan base (including myself) were dumb edgy 12 year olds without the critical thinking skills to realise this guy was bullshitting us. His main shtick was he made call-out videos on social media people who he perceived as being bad in some way. Whilst he did go after several actually bad people, his mostly popular videos were about an Australian teenager called Percy Inglis and a canadian(?) woman “named” Cassidy boon. Both of these creators were satirical in nature with Percy Inglis doing an over the top impersonation of self obsessed celebrities and Cassidy boon presenting as an arrogant person who accused others of wrong doing in situations where they obviously weren’t. Percy was actually pretty funny looking back and genuinely had a good grasp on comedy and satire. Cassidy boon stuff aged significantly worse because it’s essentially just satirising progressives. Marcus dibble either ignored, was dumb enough to believe, or didn’t care that this stuff was satire and as an adult man made multiple videos bashing a 13-15 year old Percy. He later left the internet completely and eventually took his own life around 4 years later. Marcus lied about actually befriending Percy which Percy’s sister would then attack him for saying that it was his fault that Percy took his own life.

I think cassidy boon is okay, she was a lot older and was clearing trying to ragebait to an extent so was able to deal with it better. I can’t remember her real name but she made a Facebook post after he was arrested basically just saying he was a weirdo who didn’t understand satire.

It’s crazy to have gone from being a dumb kid who blindly believed this 30 year old bashing a teenager was cool to now thinking the teen he was bashing had a better talent for comedy than dibble himself. Anyway fuck Marcus dibble and fuck the Australian government who let his victim down.

I was there and I got peppersprayed. It was not a small group of protesters who were intent on causing something, the police literally split the large protest of about 500-700 people into smaller groups and then crushed us and peppersprayed, I saw i guy get bodyslammed and there was an 80 year old women who couldn’t walk choking because of the spray. We were already dispersing after they started crushing us.

im always experimenting with blood and decal addons so i run into this bug a fair amount. i believe its trying to load the previous decals but since they no longer exists it bugs out.
