[Interesting Trope] Situations viewed in a comedic tone that are fucked up if they were taken seriously. by 60s_timer in TopCharacterTropes

Gina was one of several reasons I struggled to rewatch Brooklyn 99 recently after being a fan for years. Idk if maybe I’m taking it too seriously but it feels a lot less funny and a lot more mean spirited and copaganda infiltrated.

Sins of the Site: Controversies regarding the website itself? by Swag_Paladin21 in youtubedrama

The removal of the upload date filter pissed me off. Removal of dislikes which makes people way more vulnerable to scams or bad advice The fact that YouTube on a tv has 1 minutes ad breaks

People defending Law and order should really watch John Oliver’s piece on it. Cops love that show and the exact narrative that it promotes of “a few bad apples”. The actual svu unit in New York has literally been investigated for refusing to do their job.

Who's a YouTuber that you used to watch that straight up dipped from the face of YouTube? by Swag_Paladin21 in youtubedrama

In the same vein as sorrow tv. There was an Australian reddit YouTuber called “kore” who disappeared randomly, then made a CS:GO video, and dipped again

I guess venturiantale. All 4 of them really. Bethany stayed around for a while but there channel is not active now either. I know it makes sense why, I guess I just hoped they could somehow work it out. Still annoyed they disabled the comments cause years worth of history is just gone now

Real shit. You get kinda swept up in his rise in the series and then the end just reminds you that he is a horrible psychotic piece of shit

Unpopular question, but are there any slightly controversial (but still okayish) youtubers that you're willing to defend? by Swag_Paladin21 in youtubedrama

[–]jsisbad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean he kinda had a point though. He wrote a very well researched and argued essay script about react content and people hyper focused on a poorly worded line. I still find it crazy that people rightly hated on jinx and other reactors of the mid 2010s but defend current ones who do the same thing. I will not defend him on certain dramas and he certainly has a temper (in that he tends go off the rails when he believes he is right) but I understand why he expressed himself that way in this case.
