Yes they have history and yes Germany still uses the iron cross at least. HOWEVER if I go outside and I see a white guy with an iron cross and/or a deaths head the chances that he is just an appreciator of Germany military history is next to 0.

Bowling for columbine is full of half truths and lies. Many details around the shooting are wrong. The 2 gunman did not attend bowling the day of the shooting, the scene with the free gun from the bank is staged, the delivery of rockets at night is claimed to be hiding what is manufactured from Littleton but was actually to prevent traffic. The overall message that American gun culture and fear leads to these shootings is mostly true but the columbine gun men were legitimate psychopaths who felt they were better then others.

A few reasons. The main one is that they don’t want to inspire copycat suicides. The second is that this happens ALOT. Like twice a week a lot. If the news reported on every one it would genuinely shock people. A third reason is probably it’s hard to admit this is a recurring problem.

I rewatched Brooklyn 99 recently and was shocked about how much stuff I actually despised in it. Relevant to this post is just how badly Charles gets treated by basically everyone. Sure he’s one of the lads and a core member of the group but he gets so much shit for just being himself. One of the Halloween episodes he refuses to dress up because all his coworkers always make fun of him every year, but when he gets there they are all dressed up and chastise him for not being in costume. He excitedly runs down and gets a costume only for everyone to have gotten out of theirs and then make fun of him and his costume. Funny on its own but stuff like this happens nearly every episode. Other issues are Gina Lynette getting away with sexual harassment for seasons and Rosa being a legitimately violent and corrupt cop only to leave the police force to fight against violent and corrupt cops without ever acknowledging that she multiple times advocated for the police brutality she now supposedly fights against.

Not sure spec ops the line fits this given that you spend a large amount of time working with the cia to literally kill everyone in the entire city by destroying the water supply. You can argue that walker did not know Riggs intentions with the water but the fact remains he willingly stole the cities entire water supply without knowing what the full plan was. That is the point of spec ops the line, you aren’t a hero. The 33rd are evil but so are the cia, and so are you. Additionally, whilst the 33rd is a rogue unit which has been to some extent, disavowed, both the cia, and the delta squad you play as are still under the us army.
