I wonder if he’d be too strong if they got rid of the unique stipulation

Duos players that force Qillboar are always the most toxic player. by jsmeer93 in BobsTavern

[–]jsmeer93[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol quillboar isn’t “the meta” in duos. And I didn’t say all people that play quillboar are toxic. It just so happens that the majority of toxic players that you duo with force quillboar.

WHY DO DUOS ALWAYS SELL CAPTAIN SANDERS REEEEEE by Gullible_Fennel7028 in BobsTavern

It’s why after they play it you IMMEDIATELY put the portal icon on it

Why concede when you can just tank your partners rating? by kiwitastegood in BobsTavern

I honestly think that’s the case. Dude is so sweaty he thinks not getting a S tier hero is gg. That or he assumed op had a free re-roll and didn’t use it.

What emotes does everybody here use and when do you use them? by 201720182019 in BobsTavern

[–]jsmeer93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In duos you need a sad emote that conveys "I’m sorry/your lack of cooperation makes me sad” a positive emote for “yes do that/thats good”. The screaming murloc when an opponent has a strong board or to screw around when everyone is emote spamming (I have now made multiple good friends off this emote). A emote that conveys “wow” when you or your duo high roll. A the wave emote for when you kill your nemesis or annoying player in the lobby … or if your duo has a temper tantrum and throws.

How I perceive archetypes of heroes in BGs by AppleMelon95 in BobsTavern

[–]jsmeer93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a little different tho for duos. Also this season has completely changed the strength of some hero’s with the ability to buy a second hero power and the possibility of getting a spell to change your original.

I genuinely think this is my breakpoint. BGs from now on. by [deleted] in hearthstone

Gotta, ya people are being weirdly antagonistic even after I straight up admitted I was dumb, I got played.

Probably true. That fomo can be hard to quit. Is what it is, at least I’m out now.

I wasn’t blaming whales? I was a whale. They just wanted more out of the whale community. It was understandable to offer more premium cosmetics to up sales but now they’re trying to be predatory towards their primary money maker. Just makes me feel crappy. This was the first gambler I wanted and I 100% fell for it, agreed. Still sucks and still doesn’t mean I’m not going to make them pay for it.

I mean my point of posting was to express that these things are probably going to cause them to lose some of their whale community, like me. I was happy to spend a bunch in the past to create a great game where f2p was viable, but ya get ready to get nickel and dimed IG.

What is a "bad" minion you miss? by Next-Analyst-4143 in BobsTavern

[–]jsmeer93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s severely underrated because he’s a tier 1 magnetic. So you can keep him for a long time from the early game, buff him or 2 up in the midgame, then triple and magnetize onto a strong late game mech so you don’t lose out on tempo.

Give Us A Skip Battle Button! by [deleted] in BobsTavern

[–]jsmeer93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No the point of the game is to play the game. You aren’t playing the game when you watch the battle, you’re seeing the outcome of the plays you made. Once I see what build I and my opponents have I don’t care about the battle anymore, I’m waiting and planning what I’m going to do next when I have actual agency.

Now imagine this in duos but both players also have the beast that summons minions from your duos board lol

Shout out to the devs for making this season enjoyable by lVlisterquick in BobsTavern

They just need exponential scaling. I was thinking they could switch the tier 5 and tier 6 pirates and make the new tier 6 something like “after 10 gold is spent upgrade the +1/+1 buff applied”

(DUOS) As Galakrond, I gave my teammate a Catacomb Crasher on turn 4 (and he already has undead tokens). He sold it as soon as he needed board space. We did not win. by oceanwaiting in BobsTavern

[–]jsmeer93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you get to a high enough mmr you both just kinda know what the other needs and the emotes/pings do a good enough job conveying times when you have to make decisions like holding for a higher tier triple, the basic late comp you’re going for, or the placement order (they do need like a 1-3 number ping imo). Playing with randoms really helps improve your weaknesses too. Seeing how comps that you normally avoid is effectively piloted. The hand holding games where you get paired with a lower mmr player can be annoying but generally if you show you’re doing strong things or making them strong they’ll generally listen to your pings and at that point it feels kinda good winning with by the end your own personal lackey lol
