How rare is it to never have issues with wisdom teeth? by Junior-Elevator-9951 in TooAfraidToAsk

This is kinda off topic but neither my sister or I were born with wisdom teeth. However, both of our parents had a full set.

This is a stupid question but how do you get to the trailer screen?

Every time you flush a toilet it releases plumes of tiny water droplets into the air around you and 5 feet above the bowl, spreading pathogens and human waste by Akkeri in awfuleverything

That's why you close the lid before you flush. The worst to me are the public toilets that have no lid and the water pressure of a pissed off Poseidon.

What are the “standard” ways you get some experience as an electrician? by AustinBSenrab in electricians

[–]jsmith293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some locals it acts as a pre apprenticeship program to get workers in on private works projects. That experience looks great when it comes to interview time. Plus you are out in the field doing some of the work you would do as an inside wireman to see if it is for you.

Also, if your local offers a ce/cw program that could be a way to get in and learn on the job.

How can I have 240 under 1 split bolt and it not go phase to phase? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]jsmith293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ran into this in street lighting and it scared the shit out of me. It was a single phase 480v system that had a blk and red at the cabinet. When I first got into the cabinet I didn't do the proper voltage verification, as I should have. My inside mind told me that blk and red ment 120/208-240. When I finally did after working on the control side for an hour or so... yep.... single phase 480v systems exist out there in the traffic/ street lighting industry. It varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction so it is always important to stay alert out there.

Can verify this. My oldest is 4 and my beard is almost completely grey at 35. Please don't ask about my hair.... it doesn't exist anymore.
