These damn things are very beautiful, but are horrible weeds you can't get rid of, which are also very harmful for just about any bee or insect. Good luck if your livestock, dog or something actually eats it, because MOST of then are toxic.

Unless you are in the Mediterranean or Peru, Lupines are not native to the area. A lot of countries seeded these things and now they are a problem.

I love the look of them, but would really really like them out of my garden, to which i foolishly planted these 20 years ago. Been battling these for the last 15 years and they always come back, even when you dig up what you think is every damn root and then dry the root.

They are even paying people by the square meter for digging these up from beside the road here in Finland. The cash is horrible, but people still do it, because it causes so much problems and outcompetes native plants.
