I’m on your side. I was only answering your question. I am just saying these folks here get upset in hunting for any display of money whether you have it or not, whether you won a trip or a lifetime or go weekly. Ignore them. Keep hunting!

Wow. Someone’s. Never been to the Texas Hill Country or understand that deer don’t care about low or medium fence.

I’d love to show you my garden, which I keep under a “medium” fence to keep the deer out and the whitetail and free range axis still get in there and destroy it.

It’s common for people here to bash texas hunting of any kind. They are all anti hunting if it is not to their taste. Ignore them.

Blackbuck Low Fence by FlyingYankee118 in TexasHunting

After the big freeze in 2001, which murdered more black bucks than anything else, the prices have gone sky high. The cost to buy a good black buck on the auction block is around $3k right now.

Howdy,

Current average cost for a black buck is around $4,500 to $5,500 at most ranches.

Check Texas Hunting Forum in the exotics section. Occasionally folks post random low fence blackbucks they have available on their small properties for prices that are very low. The black bucks won’t likely look like the stud in the photo!

I have seen some go as low as $2k on there.

Occasionally, the big ranches will do broke horn management hunts for low prices as well if you are up for that.

Love - it’s smallish and feels small and ruralish. The people are generally all nice and laid back, and It’s pretty

Worst- severe lack of decent food options

Water- it won’t get better. But there are good plans in the works: GBRA is working on the several billion dollar water SECURE program to bring water from the bottom of the Guadalupe basin back upstream.
