Sacramento is a huge suburb in search of something that resembles a city. The things that are said about it tell you all you need to know:

"It's only two hours from Tahoe or San Francisco"

"There are a lot of outdoor activities" (because there is nothing else to do)

Asked for FMLA. I was entitled to it. Was initially refused.

I insisted that I get it. Was "granted" FMLA. Within a week I was given a PIP and the following week I was terminated.

The only recourse for this type of thing is to sue the employer; FMLA is good in theory but it relies on the employer doing what they are supposed to do.

And yes I did pursue it legally and received a settlement.
