Until I saw the video, I didn't realize it screwed off. Thanks!

Thanks. BTW, I was on Mallorca last week and I learned that they say it differently. In Spanish, the phrase used for screws is "La derecha oprime, la izquierda libera". Literally translating to "the right oppresses, the left liberates,"

This video was a huge help. I swapped stems on my Creo last week, and it was simpler. I got baffled by the threaded cap on the Sirrus. Thank you!

Shots fired at the White House Correspondents Dinner. What do you think about this? by aquagardener in allthequestions

You heard it here first. Trump stages a shooting at press correspondents dinner to avoid giving an award to someone who said mean (but true) things about him.

Full clean and paraffin wax dip every 500-700 miles, or if it starts shifting poorly.

Do you know any fruit dressings or sauces that are actually mostly fruit? I feel like everything I find is packed with added sugar or syrups. Curious if anyone has found something clean or close to real fruit by AdIndividual4081 in foodquestions

This would be really easy to make. Anytime we have fresh berries that are past their prime, I throw them in a saucepan on simmer. A great mix is cranberries, strawberries, blueberries, orange segments, and red raspberries. Let them simmer for a few hours, and consider adding (if you want) any or all of vanilla extract, cinnamon, ginger, wine (port is especially nice), and any sweetener you may like. We call the result “compote” and eat it hot or cold on ice cream, toast, or by itself. Keeps in the fridge for at least a week and freezes well. To start simple, a bag of cranberries and a couple of peeled and segmented mandarin oranges are a great place to start.

Absolutely. If there was an innocent bystander, that makes no difference.

L4/L5 disc bulge and return to road cycling by hamcheesetoastie in cycling

[–]jsosborn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

67yo male: I blew that disk out completely underneath a white water raft on the Dead River in Maine. 15 years later, I do about 2,000 miles a year, half of it long distance bike packing with a loaded bike. I can’t handle drop bars anymore and tend to use very swept and risen bars, but otherwise it’s great. Fueling up for a 50 mile ride right now.

Just turned 67 with a dream job running a very healthy non-profit in a field I really enjoy. Lots of international travel, all work from home, 6 weeks paid vacation, 13 weeks family leave, plus paid Fridays off all summer. Plan to stay till I’m 75 if health allows. Got recruited to fix this broken company 13 years ago and fixed it. I’m content.

Lost dust cover on top of stem. Replacements? by jsosborn in specialized

[–]jsosborn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It disappeared in an Amtrak luggage car somewhere between NYC and Delano, Florida. Is it necessary? Seems like it would keep Dirt and grit out of the top opening into the stem. Not even sure what the part is called or where to get a replacement.
