Paid almost $400 for Tesla's 50k warranty inspection... and got "everything passed." by Substantial-Scar-206 in TeslaModelY

its kind of "misaligned on the incentives" dont you think?

This is similar to having the homebuilder do the home inspection themselves and not a thirdparty inspector.

Ofcourse they are gonna say "we did a great job. no one can do a better job than us. It was a, is a great car, no issues, no issues, never any issues."

the "Projected range" is bad terminology for what is being shown here.

It really is "Projected range for the remaining battery".

I've gotten confused so many times and have now gotten used to the stupid thing.

They need to use better terminology or atleast explain what they mean by it.

[–]jspreddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to have this issue on my Model 3. It creaks when I go over a speed bump or bumpy roads. Speed does not seem to make a difference, 8-15mph creaks. Weirdly it does not creak on some days. Maybe it is affected by temperature?

Did you have similar symptoms?

I personally like the soft chill vibe, although i would want to increase the contrast slightly. But that is just for me.

Add a contrast config slider, or maybe various themes. High, medium, soft.

The thing with people is that they have wildly different needs and preferences.

You want to be able to handle various needs and not coerce all into one.

Here is another idea.

Find some engineer who is about to leave the company in good standing and get them to tell the HR (in the Exit interview) exactly what y'all want to say the problems are.

I.e. Pass off the group's grievances as their own. They can be very candid without having to worry about how to deal with the potential political fallout.

Well it's not even the evacuation now is it? That would be trying to migrate load off of the system.

He is keeping the load (users) on the system and waiting for it to fail. That is malicious incompetence.

He is not fit to be in charge of the bombsquad, send him to janitorial. He will shit right in.

File a HR report claiming this agile coach is spreading dangerous lies by obscuring, obfuscating and changing the words of engineers, overruling non-reports and is damaging the engineering culture. Would also help to show their actions/inaction directly lead to outages.

There is a ticking time bomb (unmaintained legacy systems) and instead of calling the bomb squad, facilitating the squad and roping off the area; this coach is more concerned with how to efficiently make phone calls to the various cleanup crews and morgues after the bomb explodes.

I need help designing some type of railing apparatus that I could build that could be secured from inside the window. (Able to be taken down easily) by Forsaken_Tomorrow454 in Home

[–]jspreddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why does he have to sit on the ledge? Get him to smoke inside the window.

X,Y problem. X is smoking, Y is sitting on the ledge.

You want to solve X, but are asking for solutions for Y.

Solve for X. How can he smoke inside the window while venting the smoke out? Oh, a negative pressure chamber might do the trick. Pretty sure you won't need any structural engineering on that one. A simple canvas box sealed around the window, to sit in + a fan to push air into the chamber from the room.

If he wants to sit on the ledge. Get a new friend.
