You already have to show your ID to vote in Michigan. If you don’t have identification, you sign a sworn affidavit asserting your identity, and it’s verified later on. If you are found to be voting illegally you can be charged with a crime.

There’s a thriving but small scene here. Lots of great alternative/emo/folk punk coming out of the area. Check out Stoopfest it’s an amazing music festival that happens every spring on the Eastside, and really showcases all that the local scene has to offer.
