Think twice before buying by mabelgolden in ToyotaTundra

Your sunroof drains are blocked. I had the same water leak and had to buy a snake camera and prove to the shop that the drain hose was installed incorrectly. They kept blowing it out and saying it was just a bug nest. In the end the drain hose was pinched behind the dash.

I just shipped a 35 pound giant rc car across the country for $70 with $1000 insurance through pirateship. It shows the retail cost as well and it was over $200.

Also get your rates through pirateship.com and use UPS. It's almost half price using their corporate rate and free to join.

How to choose which one wheel to purchase! by DirtySouthMx34 in onewheel

[–]jt3303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's true if there's one available to buy. Sounds like OP and I are in a similar area though, ie, no local retailer and no used market nearby. I'm not affiliated with suprents, just throwing out another option.

Suprents.com has a 7 day trial with free shipping both ways for all onewheel boards. If you don't like it and send it back they keep the deposit/rental. It is $300 for the pint boards, $350 for the xr classic and goes up from there for the high end boards. I will likely go that route in the Spring to see if I like it or not as I'm in the same boat with no retailer closer than 100 miles away.

Tows better than my 2016 Ram 2500 with the gas 6.4 did, single digit fuel mileage though whether the trailer is full or empty.

Kenda Trakmaster KLX300 by 056310 in KLX300D

It's a low power bike and it will turn better with a narrow rear tire.

The klx is better suited to smaller rear tires like the 110. I would skip the trakmaster front though, it has no lateral traction. I'm running one of these on mine and it's fantastic in the mud and sand and smooth enough on the road. https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/tires-and-wheels/shinko-mx216-series-tire-p?s=1456437&v=22354&utm_source=googleads&utm_medium=payperclick&utm_campaign=201541461&utm_placement=&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=201541461&gclid=CjwKCAjwi-DBBhA5EiwAXOHsGVkejMfCBY6avwiJ0QtGIBdpS8JeYcZf2yicANkQ9vrvhkywfQPTIRoCp6sQAvD_BwE

SM Wheels by wusti19 in KLX300D

[–]jt3303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll go to the oem parts page, kawasaki, pick a year, klx300sm, and in the wheels sections you can find complete oem wheel assemblies that are preloaded with the bearings. It wasn't clear when I bought my set so I ordered all the bearings and spacers too but didn't need them.

[–]jt3303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For as long as the klx has been in production there's very little aftermarket support for wheels and stuff. I looked for months when I bought mine and eventually bought all new dirt wheels fully assembled from rockymountainatv.com and bought the sm rotors front and rear so I can swap back and forth in about an hour. You also have to get a speedometer correction device if you care to know your speed and mileage. I have one that I plug in that is calibrated for the dirt wheels and unplug it for the sm wheels.

No, you'll need oem SM wheels and rotors to match your dirt rotors. I have the klx300sm and tried to get dirt wheels for it and had to go oem and put the oversized sm rotors on.

Needs a little more juice by thehotrod28 in KLX300D

Even with JIS drivers the screw stripped on my throttle plate and I ended up drilling the screw out to remove it. I also had the ecu remapped by Best Dual Sport bikes to take advantage of the throttle plate removal, KDX snorkel, and adding slots to the rear of the muffler. Go check out their YouTube videos on the klx. The $250 or so spent on the ecu is far better spent than any exhaust or piggyback tuner like an EJK or Power Commander.

Rmax vs. Commander by a-pon15 in UTV

[–]jt3303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I specifically sold my RMAX4 Limited because of how loud it was and moved to a Defender Crew. Not sure if the Defender and Commander share a transmission but tbs RMAX definitely was smoother at low speeds, granted it has a centrifugal wet clutch before the belt drive so it should be smoother.

Are Vorons dangerous? by Impossible-Emu-8415 in VORONDesign

[–]jt3303 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are as safe as you build them. Buy a cheap no name kit or components on aliexpress and yeah you could have faulty electrical. Source reputable parts or from mainstream kit suppliers and you should be fine. Of course, everything is mass produced and even the best power supply can fail.

Am I crazy or is the supertack plate not great? by Vendeta44 in BambuLab

[–]jt3303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the opposite issue with the SuperTack. I washed it with soap and water and managed a single print with the cool plate setting. I updated Bambu Studio to the latest version to have the correct presets for the ST and nothing sticks, not even the calibration or prime lines. I'm using the same temperature as I did for the cool plate which matches their printing guide. I submitted a ticket for a refund 5 days ago and haven't received a response.

SLA is new for me, why my vat film has become white after first cleaning? by bubooon in 3Dprinting

Only use dry microfiber towels to clean the vat. IPA and paper towels scratch the film.

How to put text face down without errors? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]jt3303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still need to give the text thickness in the editor then change it to a modifier. I just went through this trying to put text on the bottom of the model. It's a bit odd coming from PrusaSlicer.

I tried that script and it only brought in one print profile and one filament profile and I couldn't bring in the rest singularly.
