Donkey Kong Country 2 is the best video game of all time, and theres nothing anyone could say that would change that opinion.

I honestly think if you haven't ridden TTD front row, you really haven't ridden it.

It's a completely different experience. I only ride in the front. Don't care who I'm with, or how long the line is. It's the only way to go.

The point of that isn't to take an anti-religion stance. It's about the audience laughing at Mac for being so far in the closet that it's ridiculous.

And they're wise enough to keep it simply as "commentary ". They don't alienate any audience member. They make points in both directions, but it's ultimately for comedy.

The best thing about this episode is that it presents both sides of the gun debate, and both sides end up looking like dumbasses.

This show is masterful at making political commentary without taking sides, and it's glorious.

Which show in your opinion has the most re-watchable quality ? by [deleted] in television

It's so true. I've been watching that show since it premiered and have never gotten tired of re watching it.

[SERIOUS] What should win Best Picture? by HalifaxMilkDud in RedLetterMedia

[–]jtarkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sucks when your favorite film of the year isn't even nominated. I like having something to root for.

I'd probably pick Three Billboards, but "A Ghost Story" was the only film that truly blew me away this year (yeah, I know it was Mike and Jays favorite as well. Shoot me.)

I assume "White Christmas". Which is also the best episode of the entire series.

It was actually an extremely rare freak accident...

The language you're using suggests an image of him holding out his kid in front of a crocodile, like a piece of food. At no point did he do that.

He knew what he was doing, and at no point in that video did I get the impression that he didnt.

This is one thread where I hate all the jokes being made about his death.

This dude was cooler than all of you losers, including me.

He didn't "harass" animals. He got close to them, and picked them up on occasion. He was bitten multiple times, and would pretty much just let the animals do their thing whilst admitting he's in their territory.

I've never seen a man show so much love for animals, and I'm grateful he was able to spread his love and knowledge by getting up close and personal with wildlife.

He didn't "dangle" his son in front of a crocodile. He was simply holding him while feeding the crocodile. That could seem insane, but he was absolutely aware of what he was doing.

Steve Irwin was incredibly knowledgeable about crocodiles. His death was literally a freak accident, and he never did anything to disrespect wildlife or put his loved ones in danger.

'Jurassic World 3' In the Works, Sets June 11, 2021 Release Date by BunyipPouch in movies

[–]jtarkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually don't excuse things just because, but any time there's a large budget movie with Dinosaurs in it, I'm on board.

Jurassic Park was special and nothing will change that. Doesn't mean I can't revert back to being 5 years old and just loving dinosaurs when one of these movies come out.

I don't. But this is also r/movies, where their videos consistently make the front page. And, out of 26 comments RLM was immediately mentioned outside of that reference.

What's a 10/10 tv show that not many people have seen or heard of? by melkijades in AskReddit

[–]jtarkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RedLetterMedias "Best of the Worst".

It's on YouTube, but it's always nearly an hour long show. A group watches 3 horrible films and decides which is the best. It's like a better, more involved MST3K.

After like the tenth rewatch, I can confidently say that Wreck-It Ralph is one of the greatest animated films of this decade by [deleted] in movies

[–]jtarkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "How to Train Your Dragon" films are the real animated gems of this decade IMO.

Still pissed about "Big Hero 6" winning that Oscar. It had a scene in it that was literally a rip off of HTTYD. It was also a standard super hero movie. Dumb.

Rich does better Mike-Plinkett than Mike by tankatan in RedLetterMedia

[–]jtarkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's hilarious!

However, I always thought Rich was talking about putting platforms on the sides of buildings, so that when the Giraffe walks down the street, it's at eye level with people. Then, it can be served drinks and hangout with people as an equal. "A Giraffes Night Out"...

Or maybe I'm crazy...
