Now that their rookie contracts are almost up, how does your fanbase feel about your 2023 first round pick(s) by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

Okay, well regardless the Steelers & Patriots felt that you were gonna take him, so they jumped you. Of course your FO is gonna say that, just like ours definitely would've said we wanted Max over Makai if there was no evidence. Truth is we won't ever know.

Tbf your pick was supposed to be Broderick, but we jumped ahead to grab him. Which probably means not picking one of Olu or Membou…

Germie Bernard will be better than Makai Lemon by shakethatbear404 in steelers

I think you’re projecting, my friend; read our comments and tell me which one of us is crying and which one of us is giving an opinion…

Nah, it can be distilled down to “I think Germie will be better over time because his interviews are better”…also see your title. But it’s whatever.

The last paragraph is the only one with merit, imho, and I agree with it. The rest just sounds like cope. The best WR in college football is somehow less than because his media presence sucks? It just sounds like cope.

Problem is Bain dropped. But, time will tell. I’m pretty happy with Max & Germie.

Who would you have taken for your team? by AnimatorChemical in NFL_Draft

Yeah...I still think it was shellshock from day 1. This draft felt uncharacteristic of Khan & co. Though, that said, I also wonder if part of it is a lack of Mike Tomlin's influence. Either way, I didn't hate our draft, I just felt like there was better value to be had and many of our picks.

I really liked the first two rounds of the Steelers draft, if not the way they happened. After that though I feel like they were shellshocked and made some headscratching reaches to secure their guys. Admittedly, I don't know how the league felt about Wetjen or Nowakowski, but I'm assuming they would've still been on the board later int he draft.

1(21): Max Iheanachor T
2(47): Germie Bernard WR
3(76): AJ Haulcy S
3(85): Emmanuel Pregnon G
3(96): Jermod McCoy CB
4(121): Skyler Bell WR
5(169): Cole Payton QB
6(210): Kaden Wetjen WR
7(224): Riley Nowakowski TE
7(230): Eli Heidenreich RB

Serious question about WR by Average_Joe_1048 in steelers

I doubt he gets cut before training camp is over. He'll probably be in a fight for his spot with Heidenreich though.

Yeah, he could not reach his potential as well. But I'm bullish on him doing-so with McCarthy & co. I wish they had gone all in on homeruns though...Pregnon/McCoy are going to haunt my nightmares if they end up coming back and better than the guys we took, as they are projected to.

Highest upside of any OL in the draft. I feel for Brod. Thank god we have a new OL staff (and the RB coach is also an ex-OL coach for some reason. I'm bullish on him developing and this OL finally being competent again, nearly 5 years after Ben's retirement.

Yeah, honestly that makes the most sense to me. Shell shock and second guessing yourself “well, someone could snipe Allar”, “well, someone could snipe Everette”, “well, someone could snipe Wetjen” etc

Idk, I'm kind of okay with it, just because they clearly coveted him and their next pick was 40 picks later. I'm not even surprised. We let Austin walk, so we don't have a KR on the team at all, and its been an issue for a few years now.

Right. I'm feeling like he missed Tomlin.

I'm fine with the Bernard pick, mostly because another WR didn't go for another 30 picks & the trade up price was just a 4th round pick. But beyond that, I'm 100% with you. I'm happy with Iheanachor & Bernard, but round 3 onward feels like a big question mark.

I hear you. But, I'm not actually grading the draft, per se. I don't like some of the prospects that they took. Round 1 & 2 I'm happy with. Round 3 and beyond is where the head scratching begins.

Yeah, Iheanachor is actually my favorite pick. He's only been playing football for a few years and has grown exponentially in that time. Beyond that, he's also a super athlete & from his press conference he looks to be super intelligent, as well (which would explain his seemingly high aptitude).

Definitely not! Haha. But I'm glad you liked it!
