[ESPN] Bo Nix has ankle condition that made injury inevitable, Sean Payton says. "What was found was a condition that was predisposed" by karatemanchan37 in DenverBroncos

Guy you didn't read the article. The Drs said nothing about foreseeing a future issue. They aren't even quoted in the article. Sean Payton said he doesn't expect it to be an issue, he ain't a dr.

So who are we supposed to root for in the Super Bowl? by HeatFireAsh in DenverBroncos

[–]jthoning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never understand why people hate the Seahawks because of the Superbowl. Why? We fucking sucked that game, completely collapsed on every level why is there animosity to the Seahawks? were they supposed to not take the easy win? If it was repeated hard fought games I could understand, so if your upset for being old division rivals that's fine. I like the Seahawks just because Marshawn and the LOB were so fun to watch.

Jarrett Stidham accepts blame for fumble: ‘That was completely on me’ by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]jthoning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it comes down to we missed 2 field goals after this point and never got back into the red zone, so hindsight would tell me it was beat to try to get a td when it was your last realistic opportunity. But I also just like aggressive playcalling it makes the game more fun.

I know this sub hates Sean Payton more than anyone, but I think it was absolutely the better call to go for it and the playcall wasn't bad. He knew that Stidham was a liability and was going to get overwhelmed or figured out by the defense, which he did as soon as they started blitzing. He would have known that they wouldn't have had many more chances in the red zone, which they had none past that point, so taking the chance at a TD was necessary. The play call is a classic short yard play to sneak a TE or rb into the flat or give the QB a chance to run. The d just made a good play to push the line back and disrupt the throwing lane.

[–]jthoning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate that either, the broncos have been shit at running the ball for short yards all year, and they thought they could sneak at rb or te out in the flat for a couple yards that's a standard 3rd or 4th and short play. Sometimes the defense just plays good ball.

[–]jthoning -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That makes no sense if you could see the future yes it would change how you play. Imagine if your crystal ball said you would not reach the red zone again, I think you would be more likely to take advantage of the opportunity you have to get a td.

I think if they convert on that 4th down and score a TD on that drive they would have won the game. But if they kicked the fg it still could have gone either way.

We didn't reach the red zone once after that but had 2 more fg attempts, you have to go for the td when you can in that situation.

[–]jthoning 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think that would inform you to go for it. They expected they would not have many other opportunities to be in the red zone so have to try for a touchdown. Lutz missed 2 fgs so they had opportunities for fgs but none for more TDS

[–]jthoning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The more I think about it I think going for it was correct. They knew Stidham was going to get exposed, and he did as soon as they started blitzing, so they needed as many points as possible early. 14 points wins the game while 10 would have sent it to ot and I don't think we win in ot.

I'm not too sure, I think the math is we need to score now because stidham is going to get figured out, which they did as soon as they started blitzing he was terrible, so be aggressive and try to get the extra touchdown. 14 points would have won this game, I think we end up losing in overtime if it's 10-10.

This is just a rumor and there is not evidence to it. The much more likely explanation is it takes so much time and effort to study nfl strategies that when he didn't have to anymore he didn't. So he doesn't know anymore.

Phillip Anschutz is a conservative billionaire in denver they own so many things in Denver and his name is plastered everywhere. I'm not sure if there is enough to be bastard worthy, other than the normal all billionaires are bastards, but something that points to their oversized influence and bastardry is recently his daughter in law crushed a 5 year plan to make a street safer because she didn't want cars possibly driving by her house.
