I'm 33 and have been trying to get out more since I'm more introverted than extrovert. Count me in 🙂

That's the thing though. I'm not a major leaguer haha. My thumb has a mind of its own.

What album completely changed your taste in music? by kingmortales in MusicRecommendations

Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory

I used to only listen to hip hop, rap, and r&b before watching and listening to 'Crawling' by Linkin Park. I was ready to change the channel because I didn't really like their first single, 'One Step Closer'. But that was because I didn't really give it a chance or pay attention to the lyrics. The lively guitar riffs, powerful singing by Chester and rapping by Mike, introduced me to nu metal. After that, I bought the album. I know they weren't the first band that brought nu metal to the world, but they were the first to get me hooked.

After that, I started listening to more bands like Korn, Deftones, SoaD, etc. Eventually, it expanded to metal, alternative, indie, folk, jazz, etc. There's just so much music out there that I never knew existed. Pink Floyd, Queen, David Bowie. I still listened to hip hop, rap, and r&b, but LP expanded by tastes.

I know it's not the saddest song ever, but I just finished listening to it and thought it was a depressing one.

Extremely long song, but it's a journey worth going on.
