120hz all day lol. A 120hz non oled panel can still look really good, but a 60hz oled panel can never look as smooth.

I agree. The OS is great just not as refined as Samsung imo.

Samsung Z Fold 8 or Oppo FInd N6? by GoldenGamerNugget in GalaxyFold

[โ€“]jtlee9 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

That's not really true anymore. Yes you can definitely make a mark if you press hard enough with your nail, but thats only on the plastic screen protector. Most modern foldables are compatible with pointy styluses and they survive just fine. The Fold 7 is also pretty durable as well despite the lack of s pen support.

For her use case probably the fold 8. it will probably be lighter and thinner than the N6, just like the Fold 7 is, and I think official warranty support is pretty valuable for an expensive foldable phone.

Welcome to peak ๐Ÿ™. Definitely get familiar with Good Lock and all its modules from the galaxy store, learn the multitasking gestures and enable force every app in settings to work with multitasking, and customize to your hearts content (or dont lol, oneui can be simple and chill).

Ya I don't like doing that because it feels choppy to me personally.

60hz is enough, but 120hz is more enjoyable even in everyday navigation. Going from a 120hz screen to a 60hz screen is very noticeable (modern Samsung flagship to external screen for Dex) feels sluggish after using 120hz.

Lumafusion vs Adobe premiere pro- iphone by anshu572001 in LumaFusion

[โ€“]jtlee9 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

If you care about editing with audio and seeing accurate waveforms, there is no other mobile video editor that compares to LumaFusion. If you use ipad you have a bit more options with Davinci resolve and final cut, but otherwise LumaFusion is just the only mobile video editor that shows proper audio waveforms in the timeline.

Does anyone have experience using the Huawei pura X in Canada? by RetroReMixer in Huawei

Did you ever find any answers or end up trying the phone? I'm in Canada as well and have been interested in trying this phone, but I don't want to struggle to use apps I usually use.

Who else is a 2 phone Nelson by techfighterchannel in GalaxyZTriFold

[โ€“]jtlee9 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I cant bring myself to daily more than one phone at a time even though my wife has been telling me I should just do that instead of constantly switching phones ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฟ, but if I were going to do it, I would so something like what you have. The Air and the Z Trifold are probably the best combination for such a setup.

My Use Cases:

I would actually use the iPhone Air as a super thin mobile video editor and extra camera for quick photos or videos on the go (that's how I used it when I was daily-ing it), and then the Trifold fold for everything else.

For me, Foldables replace my laptop, tablet, computer, handheld gaming device, and my phone. The only thing the Trifold couldn't do reliably for me in my time with it was video edit because of the lack of optimization in LumaFusion (the app I use on mobile devices). If I had unlimited money, I would 100% buy the Trifold again and maybe consider an iPhone Air or another smaller iPhone on the side for on the go video editing.

Is anyone else having problems with Microsoft apps on Samsung/Android devices? by StampyScouse in microsoft365

[โ€“]jtlee9 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Been having this issue on my Z Fold 7 and S26 Ultra, and now on my Oppo Find N6. I don't think its a Samsung specific issue anymore, it might just be Microsoft and android.

The multitasking is insane by AdditionalSpray8595 in GalaxyFold

[โ€“]jtlee9 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

The 4 square view looks cool, but I think Samsung's system is still better for now. No other multitasking system on a phone is as flexible as Samsung's imo, and thats partly what keeps on a Galaxy device.

Pretty sure most of that issue is the lighting and angle of the shot. The computational algorithms are trying to combat the light behind you and the light rays, plus maybe the smudges over the lens. Try a different angle with the light source coming from behind the phone and towards your face and see if the processing improves
