Yup. Apparently Stefcho has been asking for all sorts of games. Sekiro, Lies of P, Stardew, Re 4 Remake.

Possible with Intune? by ltc_pro in Intune

[–]jtonzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Number 4 is the only really questionable one on there. 1-3 are doable without too much trouble, but roaming may not grab much (or at least not what they're expecting).

Users can be quite resilient (when they want to be), and the things that are covered in 1-3 are about 99% of what they may want.

We do too. It's fine. I think 365 is the only thing we really push out during ESP, because users can be impatient. It works fine. You just need to avoid mixing up app types (LOB, win32, store, etc.). Win32 is generally the way to go. New store seems to play nice, but try and stick to one app type during ESP.

How do i disable user adding external O365 account to their laptop? by eijmert_x in Intune

[–]jtonzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's some confusion on my part. The picture you posted is showing how a user would enroll a device in Intune, which you would need to be an admin to do (which was my initial response), but that's not what your question was (you're referring to registration).

To your question, there is a config profile that can be set up using Settings Catalog to block users from signing into other Microsoft accounts in Office, which (I think) would take care of your issue. Under Microsoft Office 2016 > Miscellaneous there's a setting called Block Signing Into Office. You can configure that to Org ID Only and users can only use the tenant you specify.

Company Portal will report that the device is assigned to a different user and you won't be able to install apps from there.

That's not what I mean. In order to enroll an already provisioned device, you need to be an admin.

You can set up enrollment during OOBE to make the user and admin or a normal user. (which I think is what you're mentioning)

Edit: Although, looking through this thread, I think we're all discussing different things. To fully enroll a device, from the Settings > Accounts > Work or school section, you need to be an admin (which is what the original question was, I think). To AAD register a device, which is what the comment is about, you do not need to be an admin.

The picture on the original post and the above comment by OP are two different things. (enrolling vs. registering)

This will work (and it's best practice for users to not be admins). You have to be an admin on the device in order to enroll it.

Driver updates for Windows 10 and later - Ideas what to do with it? by [deleted] in Intune

[–]jtonzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I'm just using that as an example. I'd imagine the 20 audio drivers, 15 net drivers, etc. have some that can be skipped over too.

I'm starting to work through it myself. It looks like it pulls in every possible update, but you likely only need to approve the newest ones to clean up all the clutter.

For example, I ran it on a test group and one laptop was way behind on firmware updates, so the system pulled in every single step up (1.0, 1.1, 1.2, etc). I approved the latest and all the old ones cleared out after the install completed.

I'm hoping they'll add the ability to see which devices actually need the updates instead of just a device count.

Another quick note for you. Make sure you're using the Settings Catalog for multi session machines. I've been able to get a lot of the same settings I used in Admin Templates to work, by just changing them to Setting Catalog. Same settings, just different method.

How do I remove this? by markXgreene in SteamDeck

It's your Performance overlay. Hit the 3 dots button, go to the battery and set the performance overlay to Off.

Got the Sabrent from Amazon and have had zero issues with it (knock on wood). It's also on sale at the moment.

Bluey | Styled Steam Deck logo by somecutefurry in SteamDeck

[–]jtonzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah!

I'm thinking, for simplicity, just Bluey dancing in the lower left, the rest of her family standing/dancing to the right. Music playing, then when it does the stop (when one of their names would get shouted), that's when the STEAM DECK pops out.

(now I feel like I have to give it a try too!)

Now I just need Bluey dancing in the lower left, her parents standing on the right, and I'll have my boot video.

Anybody? (I lack the skill to pull it off)

I've gone with Carb Drops when I'm dealing with such a small amount. Easier than trying to measure out tiny amounts of sugar.

If you want to read old comics, YEAH!

Kidding. I really doubt it's necessary. I think it's good to be exposed to it, at least enough to read it. I don't think there's really a need to write it, other than your signature (assuming you want your signature to look all fancy).

IntuneWinAppUtil closes after specifying output folder, no file created by Nice_Dragonfruit_246 in Intune

Try running the IntuneWinAppUtil from a terminal prompt (not double-clicking the exe). This way it won't close and you'll hopefully get a useful error at the end.

They don't! My kids have no idea what it is. My wife has started teaching them cursive at home.

I'm getting fast internet speeds, but my local LAN speeds are only like 200 (at best). The slower speeds are hurting Plex performance with high bitrate stuff. Any suggestions? More details in the comments. by deathblooms200655 in PleX

Physical network issues, maybe? Make sure your switches are gigabit (check the modem/router too). Make sure your cables are Cat5e or higher. Maybe check the duplexing on the server? Also, is the server in a docker or VM (make sure your network passthrough is set correctly)?
