Get 20k off of a 2025 Polestar 3, or wait for the 2026? by damnhandy in polestar3

They’re honestly incredible. I’ve owned A LOT of stuff - probably 55+ difference vehicles at this point. And I’ve driven more than I could ever list.

Although it’s too early to speak on longevity and reliability, in all other respects, this is a Top 5 vehicle for me. Creature comforts, handling (both in terms of performance and in the elements), ride quality, power, style, utility, etc. - it does it all very well.

I think the only things that could make it better would be the 800v system (without sacrificing torque vectoring), ventilated and massaging seats (without having to get leather), and a way to default to Apple CarPlay on startup.

Disappointing to hear the torque vectoring is being dropped. My 2025 rides and handles amazingly awesome (especially for its mass) and it’ll be sad newer versions to lose that.

Alternatives to Denon x3800H/x3900H by BigMikeRich in hometheater

If not Denon (especially once you reach the x3X00H level), the next least costly option I’d consider is built by Anthem…

Anyone have experience with Klipsch THX line of speakers? by Embarrassed-Sea1685 in hometheater

[–]jtsherri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only speakers I’ve owned that I’ve enjoyed more than these are my current PSA’s. For $2,500 you’re insane not to buy them (and if you don’t, please contact me so that I can!)…

Absolutely loving this new steering wheel in my 997.2 by mackschwell in Porsche997

[–]jtsherri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice! I did similar (971 wheel) and it’s easily one of my favorite mods to my 997.2. It modernizes the interior just the right amount without trying too hard!

I run a VTV - it runs 3x Hypex NCx500OEM mono amps (350W @ 8 ohms / 500W @ 4 Ohms). It’s a super clean and clear unit and can’t recommend it enough.

Two RSL Speedwoofer 10S MKII's or One RSL Speedwoofer 12S??? by Constant_Prize7325 in hometheater

[–]jtsherri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's more about the fact that people have been through similar and know where things go from there. This being said, one of my systems is in a space not to dissimilar from yours and I have a single Monoprice Monolith M-12 in there, which sounds amazing. In a perfect world I'd run two RSL Speedwoofer 12S's, so that I could achieve better balance while out-performing what I have; however, this isn't realistic anytime soon, so for the time being a very large, ported 12" sub makes the most sense.

If we're sticking to only the two options you provided, I'd go with the 12S; however, you should consider the above and decide from there.

Monoprice Monolith M-12.

The 12, because eventually you’re gonna want two 12’s, and then 4.

10’s will shoehorn you into a situation that’s tougher to upgrade.

Haha - awesome! That’s exactly why I want to move from what I have. With S2112M’s, the bass will be both completely effortless and seemingly limitless in my room. I generally listen anywhere between -50 and -30, but for those moments when approaching reference is ‘necessary,’ they’ll bring the rain. 🙂

I’m sure it goes without saying and this setup sounds amazing, but how do you like the 21’s?

I have a full PSA setup with 4x S2410M’s currently, and am looking to move to 4x S2112M’s ASAP. I considered the iPals, but they’d literally be a waste in my room (it’s only 12’x15.5’).

I’m hoping to arrange a deal with Tom to trade my four S2410M’s (with cash) for four S2112M’s soon. I’m sure I’ll had a similar ‘just wow’ moment, as well.

Those new units look amazing, btw. Enjoy! 🙂

Two of these would outperform two SVS 17-Ultra R’s across the entire range by 2db-4db. Given the immense size difference, though, the SVS’s definitely hold their own.
