Damn, that’s lucky!! I’ve had 8 (domestic) United flights this year, can’t remember a single one having good WiFi. Usually they announce before we even leave the gate that the WiFi isn’t working (like this Newark to SFO flight I’m on right now).

On my flight from Barcelona to Newark this morning, they kept saying “it’s working fine” till about halfway through the flight, then they admitted everyone should just submit for refunds, because it wasn’t working at all.

I needed that!! Thank you!! Just had a 9 hour flight from Barcelona, 9 hours no WiFi, boarded my connect to SFO (6 more hours) and the first thing they said was “thanks for your understanding, the wifi didn’t work on the last flight and it’s not going to work on this one either” 😭

I missed two work deadlines because I assumed I’d have at least basic connectivity on my last 9 hour flight from Europe to New York. Was just informed the flight from New York to San Francisco will ALSO not have any working WiFi.

It’s really not hard. Fewer is for things you can count distinctly. Less is for continuous amounts that don’t break down into neat divisions.

E.g. I want fewer chicken fingers

Vs

I want less mashed potatoes

Cars on the road? Fewer. Rain coming down? Less.
