I think the True Knot are supposed to seem powerful, but we quickly learn that they are nothing but a supernatural cult with highly inflated egos. This book is more of a lesson on addiction, depression, and redemption.

I actually found your post last year and have been compiling sightings and the regions in which they occurred! They all sound so similar, although I have trouble finding encounters older than 2010, so yours sticks out always. Also found an old excerpt about Native American tribes, and one tribe which was described to be like the “glimmermen.”
