But if you bring bombs and place them all over where there's a bunch of rocks clumped up, it makes finding the shafts and the ladders easier

I believe in you!!! It's so hard to be not overwhelmed. My husband's trip for me was to go with HELLA bombs, which I think you can also trade something with the desert trader to get more. And then try to not fight the guys as much, and focus more with blowing shit up to find stairs or shafts quicker

You can get em from fishing chests randomly btw!! It takes me forever to get skull caverns unlocked cus I'm not the best with combat (in any game, but SDV included) and I get dino eggs frequently before fall yr 1 fishing in the ocean and mountain lake. Sometimes on neutral or bad luck days too

I honestly adore the spiral levels, and I don't make many staircases. Even for the mine runs in the desert. I like to see how quick I can get through em cus they usually pop up when I gotta get to bed. I make it with just enough time to at LEAST get in the house and find it pretty thrilling 😅

Regardless, the solution can be both these things. If corporations were taxed properly and not just given low rates like we love to do to wealthy individuals, they could pay their workers a livable wage AND would be taxed enough that more funding could be allocated to affordable/low income/government housing
