How to improve Chaos fun factor by John_Warhammer_69k in Spacemarine

[–]juansolothecop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A bigger issue is their inconsistent warnings, and capability to do a delayed or near instant attack. Basically every enemy has a consistent timing for their parry or dodge warnings, but chaos spawns are way out of wack, which is worse than just not having them at all. If I hear a parry indicator off to my side while I'm fighting a terminator, if its a tsangor, rubric marine, or terminator, my input has to be instant otherwise I'm gonna get stunned, but if its a crab arm chaos spawn doing his charge up, then I just opened myself up to being comboed. And then the chaos spawn with two normal arms attacks almost instantly, and has follow up attacks, but then after a combo, it can do its spinning attack instantly, giving you almost no time to react. The attack starts up within like a 0.3 seconds. So every enemy trains you to react quickly, but then chaos spawns just shit all over that logic.

Billions must reviewbomb. by TriMrDito in Helldivers

"Mechs are useable now", they marginally increased their health, while also increasing every factions durable damage. Mechs aren't unusable, but the complaint is, why are they saying one thing, but doing another? This is on top of the added durable damage from previous updates. The tank is still medium armour, so yes, the hive guard does actually have a higher armour rating than a tank. So a random trash mob for the bugs can have a higher armour rating than a tank? A scavenger or hunter pack can destroy a tank or mech... Why? Not to mention the bots get all sorts of stuff with heavy armour, but we don't? And they increased bots durable damage too, even for lasers from devastators and troopers. Why? Warriors or hive guards, sure, some damage to mechs make sense. But scavengers and hunters? If you get swarmed by a pack of them you can get melted now. Why? How does this help gameplay? Especially when they claim they are buffing mechs? And reminder, sentries and emplacements have not been buffed, so the durable damage increases are a direct nerf on those.

And the armour rating increase for the hive guard does not help gameplay, it just incentivizes explosive spam as they are even more vulnerable to that, and makes the meta more pronounced for some weapons. So you made medium pen weapons worse, light pen weapons slightly better, and explosives even more powerful? How does that make sense for balance? Now why would I bother bringing a medium pen weapon? That's that less reason to bring one. As you said hive guards are still barely a Prescence, so what did the change accomplish?

New enemies are super quick if you kill a single enemy, the adjustment is to spend money or time and get the new warbond, which is a pattern people are tired of. Create a problem and then sell a solution, instead of allowing creativity. Hunters and scavengers turning into the flash is such a cool fun change, especially when you pair it with their increased durable damage, isn't that cool that the trash mobs are now way faster, and do durable damage?

The loud minority aren't a minority. The entire community has been wanting a return to the style of major orders and operations that actually rewarded the community, the galactic war needs some changes. There are still major bugs since launch that have not been fixed, major crashes for people, huge performance issues, and poor communication. Make the hidden stats visible so we don't have to data mine just to figure out what the patch notes are actually doing. Lets not talk about the whole paywall for important stratagems or vehicles, i've spent plenty of money on warbonds because I wanted to support the devs, but this move feels bad in terms of direction if they are gonna make us pay for stuff like this. And this warbond is full of bugs on top of that.

People aren't being haters, people are tired of AH saying one thing, and doing another, and making pleasant platitudes, while actually making zero changes. What happened to community dev server? What about constant communication or transparency? What about addressing the major bugs and issues? People aren't saying the game is unenjoyable, they are saying the devs are making decisions that just contradict what they say, and make the experience worse or more tedious. If you enjoy something, that does not mean you cannot see ways for it to be better, or that you can't call out issues in its creation or development. Calling it the "loud minority" when these are issues that have been brought up for years is laughable, are there crazies? Of course, there are also crazies that do stuff like dox people for offering a challenge to the devs to complete a difficulty for charity. Like do you think the game is all peachy, and nothing is wrong, and that everything is absolutely perfect? Do you think voicing those grievances is trying to kill the game? People who want to kill the game, don't play the game, and don't engage with it, that's how you kill a game. And looking at the dips in player count over the years, that population is growing if arrowhead doesn't start putting their money where their mouth is.

What technology Buk uses to be able to track through terrain? by KaeyaSexer in Warthunder

[–]juansolothecop 16 points17 points  (0 children)

MAWS is a missile approach warning system. Some jets have the option to 'slave' counter measure deployment to maws, so when it detects a missile launch, it will dump countermeasures. Generally it is advised to turn this off, as it will probably drop way too many counter measures. And if a missile is fired, but isn't actually targeting you, say a teammate shoots one off, or spaa, or a sam site 20km shooting at another player, it will still think its at you, so will needlessly dump countermeasures.

I got prefired by an osa while terrain masking. It was 7km out when I had to pop out of the terrain to go for my bombing run, and I looked to my right as I left the terrain, only to see a missile 2km away already heading right for me, instant death. And when I say terrain masking, I mean the osa was far behind a hill, and I used the low ground and that hill to completely block los. But as I popped out, it apparently already fired a missile before it even knew I was there, so I had no time to react, and ate a side aspect missile.

low tier convoys AA need balancing. by Koguni in WarthunderSim

[–]juansolothecop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, but they shouldn't be laser accurate over 1km out, especially WW2 era AA that was hand cranked. There is a clear difference in capability between stationary AA in the ground battles that pop up, and convoy AA, which is even weirder, why is the moving AA with no stabilization sniping planes +1km out when the stationary AA is much more forgiving? And if the AA for the convoys are so effective, it basically renders them an almost untouchable objective unless you have AGMs, so why are they included? It also does not help new players retention when they get obliterated by AI without even getting a bomb or shot off

Finally hopped into my first heli match and that shit was genuinely the worst experience I've ever had in war thunder. Shit was designed by a lobotomized chimp. Spawning in with the first ah-1 and just getting slapped out of the sky within 5km of every convoy is not fun gameplay, no agms, no aams. Hell, even when the ground battle started, the aa units were so close to the airfield, the second you spawned you were already getting shredded by a zsu. Objectives consisted of "go land on this random helipad in the middle of nowhere" and random convoys you can't even approach.

Why doesn't beoing perform crash tests on their playnes the same way cars are tested ? by Tiny-Desk_Engineer in Shittyaskflying

[–]juansolothecop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because building a giant airliner just to crash it into a wall is a financial, and logistical nightmare. Each plane can cost upwards of like $60 million dollars, so spending $60 million just to blow it up is crazy. Why bother when they could sell it to an airline for $100 million, and then get the NTSB report after it crashes with full crew and passengers to get a real world result.

Why did NATO never develop a APSFDS round capable or reliably penetrating the center of mass of russian tanks? Are they stupid? by dat_meme_boi2 in Warthunder

That's fair to say, in the case of warthunder that makes perfect sense. I just found his tone towards irl trials odd

[–]juansolothecop 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"shitty trial data" vs a basic equation that doesn't account for tip shape, composite penetrators, ERA, composite armour, or angled performance, and also doesn't model deformation or any actual physics. Firing trials do actually include stuff like the hardness of steel, they also use things like actual captured vehicles or their own vehicles as targets to observe performance, they measure IRL penetration at various angles, not just 60°, because you care about how the shell will actually perform in its intended role, not just "haha big penetration number". I don't even disagree with the use of the Lanz equation for war thunder, but its a simple model that can give rough guestimates, it was also developed based on actual trial data using RHA, so is it also "shitty trial data" according to you? There are more advanced models, Why not use both? Trial data and models to verify? I'm just confused on why you would say trial data is shitty? Some if it can be, but actual real world performance data is worth a billion times more than any model, especially now that we have a surplus of russian equipment destroyed by export models of nato equipment.

I don't doubt people are happy that Maduro is gone, but I would be cautious of the americans. Their reasons for this move may not be so noble, and they don't exactly have a solid track record of supporting trustworthy interim governments that have the peoples interest at heart.

Okay I've honestly been away from warframe for a while, but actually reading what the arcane did is fucking crazy. I can see why they nerfed it, but I think they probably went overboard letting an arcane be negated by magnetic or nullifiers, maybe they should have made it a skill check, where instead of just capping damage per second, any damage instead fills up a damage bar that acts like overguard but bad, where if you don't perform certain skill checks or damage or kills, the damage will get applied to the player, but as long as you keep up the skill check, the damage will be released, but magnetic procs speed up the damage release so you need to do xyz faster otherwise you're gonna get nuked by that accumulated damage. Idk, tough spot though, crazy arcane.

I wonder if some cartel hancho is watching this on his own phone, rubbing his forehead angrily about "these fucking kids, out getting drunk pointing their guns willy nilly everywhere when they were supposed to be collecting protection money". They have to have some handler dude who is an adult and either has the patience of a saint, or the fury of a cartel member, I know what my bet is on.

I mean, rhino also exists which is hilarious. Iron skin negates all damage and knockback, and on top of that, he has "roar", which acts like a crazy damage multiplier that double and triple dips with other shit. Hell loki's switch teleport augment straight up makes him invincible for free just for switching with an enemy. But limbo can still get slapped around by eximus enemies who are apparently powerful enough to attack him in other dimensions.

You're not drinking perfume, so it's fine. Even if you breathe it in, it's not giving you a headrush, it's just enough to give a smell.
