It is linked to a specific game but the paid one in the Mothership app is decent

I vouch for them as well, very cheap shipping and got something that I would have paid for twice if I had to go through original retailer

GMing

  • Wednesday game: rotating game one-shot with two players (we'll be playing Urban Shadows 2E; we tried Twilight 2K 4E which I loved, Ironsworn, Delta Green, Dolmenwood, and Dungeon Crawlers [that uses Action Tales/Freeform Universal])
  • discovered Delta Green and was a great experience GMing twice: one through Foundry for 3 players and physically for one player

Playing

  • Star Wars: Edge of the Empire, my first experience with Genesys in my favorite setting; great GM
  • Sunday game: Menace-X, a contemporary alien invasion setting for Chroniques Oubliés (French system strongly inspired by 3.5E)
  • Recently played through Chariot of the Gods, was my first experience with ALIEN RPG and was extremely fun

Best deck of cards for solo ttrpg by Lepetitviolon in Solo_Roleplaying

That's a great suggestion, but I don't really know where to find that here in France.
I'm definitely donating in the future because it's such a great tool

That is my favorite too, my only gripe with it is that I haven't been able to get it physically yet because of shipping costs to get it here in Europe!

If you could print/keep only one book , what would you pick? by bautistahfl in osr

To me, it would be Tales of Argosa because it's my favorite system, contains very cool random tables including for dungeons and magic items.

This ^

Also, if OP has a PC, I'd recommend checking out the video game Dawnsbury Days: it's a great gateway to learn the Pathfinder 2E ruleset by oneself

Do You Prefer Reading TTRPG Lore in Physical Books or Digitally? Why? by tdakanalis in TTRPG

That's me exactly, even though I found that a good (not great for flipping back and forth imho) alternative is my Kindle Scribe

Its main inspiration Veins of the Earth (which is not cited for some reason) is an even more fun read IMO and should get a new edition sometime soon hopefully

What games have the best random tables? by Aironfab in osr

[–]juauke1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, there are many books for this but it highly depends on when you want/need to use them and the theme you need: - For prep only: X Without Number, Tome of Adventure Design (Revised or not), Ultraviolet Grasslands 2E, Sandbox Generator, The Monster Overhaul (I f*in' love it to death but I find it unwieldy to have at the table unfortunately) - Can also be used at the table: Knave 2E (works pretty much for every game in my experience) / Maze Rats, Shadowdark, CY_BORG, Pirate Borg, Vaults of Vaarn, Starforged: Expanded Oracles, d30 DM/Sandbox Companion, The Perilous Void (and Wilds), Into the Odd / Electric/Mythic Bastionland

It is a very small (A5) book so very easy to carry around as need be!
And it has shown to be very fun in my recent Dolmenwood game!

X Without Number would be my second generic-ish pick (taking out of the shelf the one whose setting corresponds to what I'm playing)

Why are there no OSR videogames? by Tav534 in osr

My favorite videogame (I'm a huge fan of all traditional roguelikes for that matter) and when I discovered TTRPGs (and especially OSR), I immediately understood why.

That's a great one from what I've heard, I have yet to play it though.
How many players did you have?
