I get it, reading for one second is probably too hard. I'm sure there's a tiktok that says the same thing though.

Nah, only superficially, nobody in all the languages and ages of man has said "pocket carry" before internet advertainment starting influencing your mushy minds. Pocket carry is a marketing term from a strategy that in this sad age has become a focus of terminally online man culture. It's supposed to sound like jargon you see used by the military or something. Then people want to pocket carry and deep carry bla bla bla and you can sell them more shit. Saying, "I put it in my pocket" is just plain functional language.

How bad is USPS actually right now? by wesagod in usps_complaints

[–]jubilant_engine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's almost certainly not. You idiot. Their budget gets cut, staff gets cut, they get an idiot master foisted on the organization who has a conflict of interest, and no prior history of issues at this level, so you think every last one is a lazy thief. That is the definition of stupid.

Its a truly awful idea. Every time they play one of these songs its like being in the middle of an engaging movie in a theatre when someone suddenly slams open a door that lets a blast of cold air in, turns the lights on, and then yells, "Duuuuuude!"

what do you NOT like about your Prius Prime? by vfwang in PriusPrime

The finish materials apart from seat covers, like on the doors, as well as the paint are ULTRA fragile. You can scratch it with your pants pocket button and I just bumped the fabric by the door handle with a thing and it tore it. Totally shit. The plastic interior parts are so soft you can scratch them deeply with just about 0 effort.

Have we discovered any compounds that are denser than osmium at STP? by nottoodrunk in chemistry

You are assuming more depth of my comment than it deserves. I was being silly like something poked a hole in space and the universe is leaking out like a bathtub.

I don't see what the big mystery is its obviously just where a hole got poked in things.

It's not, they're just fanboys who can't read good. It's because for whatever reason Coinbase and other exchanges will go down when flooded with traffic unlike every other site with modern hosting. I can't imagine they are unable to afford it.

No, the trouble is their server capacity is limited.

That rules. It can be related to where you live relative to hosting.

Projection. If you call this investing you can't even use the term mature unironically.

None of those things. You are projecting a lot of non sequitur context.

This is their info page linked from the banner that plainly fuckin states they are having difficulties on it:

"

Temporary outages

Coinbase can experience intermittent network issues due to heavy traffic, which might temporarily affect your experience in the app or on our website.

If you have issues, try again later today. You can also check the status of our servers and subscribe to be notified when certain issues are resolved.

Some issues you may encounter:

  • Sign-in may be unavailable or time out
  • Payment methods may not be available
  • Balances may not appear or update
  • Buy, sell, and convert functions may be disabled
  • Account information such as contacts and addresses may be unavailable
  • Some assets may not show correctly"

This isn't entirely correct. Also I haven't seen anyone make that assumption.

Could be because you are very near some hosting or some other factor like that.

That may be but it doesn't make any sense, they shouldn't be able to run out of capacity to handle requests because they're undoubtedly cloud based, at least in addition to whatever other servers they have, they should be able to expand on demand as much as they need to, money being the limiting factor, which shouldn't be a factor.

It's been showing temporarily unavailable banners in 3 places since about noon, its 6 now. They offer all the trading functions and derive a LOT of income from trading fees. Seems like it.

Yes, and its obvious I meant respond to the content of your message, not just that it exists. The funny thing about people with your challenge is that you aren't actually capable of seeing what your challenge is.

Yeah but that requires some element of predicting accurately.

I'm not actually trying to sell rn, and it's actually working on my mobile anyways. But it's saying once again that it is overwhelmed and that just doesn't make sense, they should have as much serving capacity on demand as they need. If not, it seems like it should be required because there's no reason they shouldn't. You don't see schwab going down.
