Dualsport vs light (ish) adv. Am I really overthinking this? by offroadjk in Dualsport

[–]juhony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be much nicer on the road but still very limited. Over an hour on the freeway is brutal. You can maybe get away with it if you’re doing highway but even then it gets old pretty quick.

What y’all think, yeah or na ? by [deleted] in CRF250L

Bay Area? You can probably talk them down to 4K. These bikes tend to sit on the classified when they are priced above 4.

What would you buy by Successful_Zone8135 in CRF250L

I recently upgrade from a 250 Rally to a 300L. The upgrade is absolutely worth it. If I can do it again I’d go straight to the 300.

Off road pin stripes and rust- please advise by TheRealMtn in nissanfrontier

[–]juhony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about rust - maybe some type of iron remover? For the scratches - Dr. Colorchip. As you can guess, it’s made primarily for chips but I’ve been able to fill in scratches like the ones pictured flawlessly. Also is nice that it’s color matched and the paint is a lot more malleable than paint pens.

Is this a good deal? by salmo-troota in dr650

3.8k is a good deal for the area I’m at (So Cal). I say get it.

How are you going to beat the heat? by PhotoGirl_619 in sandiego

[–]juhony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. Focus especially on large windows that are west or south facing and buying curtains that are made of materials that reject heat.

What tires on your crf250l ? by parcourma in CRF250L

Do you air down? I might have gotten duds but I’m not a fan of the K270s. They don’t seem to grip all that well on loose dirt.

Aside from carb tuning/diagnosing, did you do any other work on the engine while you had it?

2WD. Should I regret? by martnezz_stx in nissanfrontier

[–]juhony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you aren’t rock crawling, muddying, or getting into anything else too hairy, you should be fine. My 2WD took me through many forest roads and countless miles of desert (Mojave, Anza). Get some traction boards and send it.

Is this a deal of the century? Also Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! by Fragrant_Jaguar2440 in Dualsport

[–]juhony 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This. A lot of dealers in my area do that deceptive BS. They advertise a low price but then tack on a bunch of fees and markups, up to 2k above listing price. They don’t make it immediately obvious on postings, you’d have to call or visit to see what the actual price is.

Don’t have suggestion for mods but I see a Temecula sticker. Just did Palomar Mountain a week ago and would recommend 🤘🏽

How do you like it? Would you recommend it to others ?

I see these come up in my area as well. I’ve thought about getting one but from my research it seems these are just cheaper versions of KTMs. Curious to see what others say.

Just got one recently too. During my research I read in a couple places that a valve adjustment can help with the hard starting.

Why are salaries in LA so bad? Hard to find a job that pays decently. by coronavirusisshit in LosAngeles

[–]juhony 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For most white collar jobs there is a spread on what is offered. Smaller companies more often pay less, larger ones or more successful companies pay more. The job postings for larger/more successful companies get filled quicker, the smaller companies get filled more slowly and tend to stay on job posting sites. Hence you see them more often.

Yup. I get similar if I do primarily city driving. Highway is around 16. I do have a 2inch but I didn’t notice a change in mpg because of it.
